Yes, the politicians need money to campaign, the only people with money are big corporations. The Corporations give the politicians money to campaign, then once elected they are obliged to return the favor to the Big Corporations in the form of laws and such...the cycle repeats every 4 years. You can see the problem in this scenario?

By the way Dstein - I agree with more rivets. It just looks better....I know it takes longer, and it's a pain, but SOOOOO worth it!

Also, on the doors, where the hinges would be, you should make big bolts and washers! I know, more work. But if you have a paper punch, and I seem to remeber that you do...use thin styrene, and a fairly large (2mm?) hole, then same hole punch with thicker card, then cut off the edges to make it 6 sided or 8 sided, then a smaller hole puch on the thicker card, and put them together...so it looks like a washer, nut, and part of the bolt sticking out of the top.

Like the picture below. It's kind hard to see, but it's the elbow joint on the Nob.

Ok, I like the technique and the results, but where do I put more rivets (besides the hatches)? on the supports? I don't know where they need to go on the tower. What made sense to me I already did, except on the coffee can edges.

and about the poilitics in your U.S. i sincerely hope that there will come some sort of (unbloody) revoluton from you... the spirit has spread to europe at least in a form now...i hope for all the world that there will be some stopping to the greedy nature but i say this with earnest... those that are funded well have the funds to buy arms... and they sure do have them already... i have often thought about a term: corporate wars.... i think it is most likely.... one day not nations but companies will battle it out in the open (they have for millenias done so in the secure shadows of course)

oh and one thing... recently i watched a program on tv about forbidding hedgefonds that have food on their lists... can you imagine that greed has a direct influence on starvation and death? well now at least i saw that...*shudders*

And what are the rivets on the support columns going to be holding? What are they riveted to? Why would there be rivets there? I think it needs to make sense to me, sort of.

well the columns... the tubes made from two different diameter tubes... the thicker could be fixed by rivtes.... but i see your point... and one has to remember that the painting and then weathering will also add depth to the mini even more so maybe we should cease this^^

I have two paper punches, and they are both apparently junk. So I tried Jake's idea with styrene rod. The washers look a bit too thick. The bolts are uneven, but once the glue dries I will do the usual snipping down.
