Do you guys mean the rules for the other factions/units are inside their unit boxes (like DUST) - or that they're all included in the core box set? And what about the "Faction Decks".
I'm really hoping to get all the rules. I'm not a fan of, say, the Asterian models (especially in Restic) but I could use an excuse to finally paint some Eldar...
The rules, like abilities and so on, are in the main book or one of the supplements as they come out. The cards or faction decks come with the faction starters, or uhh in the box with the models. The faction deck will have the rules for every thing in the faction available at the time of their printing, whether it's in the starter or not, so individual boosters and such won't also have cards. So far the only way to get the faction decks for any faction is by buying the faction starter, and the decks have three things -- the stats for each model in the faction, all of the faction's mission cards, and the rest of the cards are the battle cards played in game--.
So right now it's kind of like being forced to buy a codex bundled with models, though i think the codices are more expensive than faction starters these days. Hopefully, they'll pop the rules, including the faction deck pdfs, up on their site like they have for a lot of their other rules. Could be that they're behind in doing this, could be that they want to gently persuade more people to buy their official models for awhile, hard to say.

TL: DR - shipping starts August 7th and should take 4 days to complete. UK shipping 2-3 days RoW 5-10 days
Project Update #65: Is it here yet?…
Posted by Battle Systems Ltd ♥ Like
Well it's been a very thumb twiddly time for you guys as you watch the ship travelling from port to port at between 20 - 25 mph. lol We've hardly had to look as you have been keeping everyone (including us) up to date with the progress. So thanks for all you navigators and radar operators )
Arrival date…
So all being good and well the ship should arrive in Felixstowe on the 27th July, not long now. It is about 1 day ahead of schedule, but we have no idea what that means or whether it loses a day in the final stretch, Phileas Fogg style. We have been told we will receive the stock at our distributors on 5th August after all the customs checks and signatures and we are planning to meet it there when it arrives.
some of the pallets when being loaded in China
Then its a simple case of packing it up… err, I suspect it will not be simple at all. lol A product like this has never been packed before, but our distributors are used to KS fulfilment so have estimated 4 days to complete. Meaning the goods will be making their way to some locations around 7th August onwards. 2-3 days for UK and 5-10 for RoW. )
Have you been watching ALL our updates…
For you regular KS backers you will know exactly what your sets will look like and how to set them up when you first open the box. However we have made a video of the basics you need to know. It covers, Assembly, Adjustments, Floor tile best practice, Penning, Edge gluing, Assembly care & Storage. It's a real short video at just over 5 minutes, so if you have not been following all the updates please take some time to watch this video. It's essential for making sure your first set up is quick and easy and that's why we've called it…
…The Essential Quick Start Guide.
Assembly videos…
We are still in the process of updating our website and all the assembly videos will be there. We will also add the final ones here in a final update before you get your goodies delivered, so watch this space. Once we have done that, you can visit our website any time to view the videos. They will be embedded into the site and available to view to everyone so no complicated backer logins are needed, just click the link.
Behind the scenes preparation…
We are now fully into our final KS preparation for the fulfilment. What this means is that we will be less visible on the KS comments and updates. Shipping administration, customs, insurances, packing, etc. will be dominating the next 3 weeks, but please still continue to communicate with us on the comments, we will be reading them while eating lunch or between tasks.
This means that we will be doing things in the following order:
1. Fulfil KS orders and get feedback )
2. Prep next KS (we are already doing this)
3. Set up stock for website retail (this is very tricky with postage logistics)
This means we can focus everything we need to do for Battle Systems to meet dates and deadlines and stops us from managing 3 massive tasks badly )
Address changes…
Final cut off date for address changes is Sunday 3rd August. If something happens between the 3rd and the time we post your goods, email us and we will do our best to sort it. Once posted its gone, so be prepared to go visit your old house and pick it up if you miss the cut off date D
(Wayne here - if you changed your address via BackerKit can you drop me a line to let me know so I can make sure our database is up to date. If you asked me to change your address then don't worry, you're all logged
That's it for now, we will try and give you updates when the ship arrives, while packing etc.
Its getting exciting…
Colin & Wayne

New preview of the Fantasy set which will have a multi storey option as many people requested it and really it just need a reskin of the sci-fi bits
No word yet on a start date but it won't coincide with the start of DKQ as the sci-fi stock won't be in until the 4th of August and delivery will take a week or 2 and they don't want to go live until the sci-fi set is delivered.
Creator Battle Systems Ltd 34 minutes ago
Dates are tricky, its all in the air at the moment. With any luck it will be end of August, but hard to say. Our original date was the 1st August, but were expecting to have all the sci-fi stuff out there already. Need to get that posted first ) 20th would be ace, let see how we go.
Means I will need some help spreading the word again. On the sci-fi set you guys were a god send, and at the time we had only 500 FB friend etc. Need to really make the splash again and jump on all the forums and websites we can. Don't want to be a pest of course, must have manors, but just a gentle nudge to make sure we get the best start we can to drive the stretch goals early and let momentum take care of the rest … assuming we get funded of course.

Yeah really excited for this stuff, even more so now it's getting close. It just has the potential to make some great games. Interior sci-fi skirmish games set over multiple levels (ie. Deadzone), sci-fi RPGs, even if it's not gothic enough for 40k I'm expecting using it for FFGRPGs.

They're only "not gothic enough" if you buy into the latest exclusive version of GW's vision of 40k - where everything must match their over-the-top scenery kits. They're plenty 40k enough for me.
It's all down to customs now. We will most likely get an x - ray as this is our first shipment, but we should get the goods arriving on the 4th August at the distributors, and will start packing that same day. Fingers crossed the last parcel should go out on the 8th and we may be able to send the furthest first in the week and the nearest last to even out the distribution and fairness, that way everyone should receive at the same (ish) time, but really can't guarantee at this stage.
I can say that for some of your orders we had to seriously dip into our pockets for postage, one order was £83 postage for a single stronghold that cost £70 lol. But we just don't want to leave anyone out ) overall due to the weight the postage paid did not cover the shipping costs, but are hoping to keep the cost similar for the fantasy stuff, happy days.

I vaguely remember one of the updates showed which "pantone" markers to get to colour in the sides of the pieces before then supergluing for longevity.
Is that all contained in the videos? Do I just need to sit down with a big mug of tea and watch through them?
I can't remember, i stopped watching the assembly videos halfway through... but if anyone remembers which markers, or even which staples boxes, do let us know
I may dig through it in a week or two but atm all of my hobby time is dedicated to furiously chipping away at a birthday present diorama lol.

It's definitely serviceable, but this is more "40k" than the battle systems stuff which is a bit too clean, or maybe too high tech to fit right into 40k as imperium decor. It's perfect for Deadzone however imo, especially the more central worlds in the first sphere. No need for all battles to be out in the fringe!
It's more 40k, or at least not completely ridiculous when compared to that battle board thingie which is just mind boggling.

Transmission open: - We have our terrain. - Transmission Closed
So it's arrived dead on time and unloaded. That means we have it all safely on land and it's currently in safe hands at customs.
This is actually a difficult update to write, because there is nothing I can tell you that you don't already know from tracking the ship yourselves. The Gunde docked yesterday at Felixstowe in the UK and was promptly unloaded in a matter of hours… and that's it.
Customs
Well that was easy. Yesterday at 11:36am (UK Time) we had an email from our shippers saying that our containers had cleared customs. We were shocked at the speed and this now means that the containers are confirmed to arrive at our distributors on Monday morning of the 4th August at 8:30am. We will meet the container there and sign for it, then start the long process of packing. Crazy that it has cleared so quickly, but good news to be sure )
Shipping
That means that we are sending the final addresses to our distributors this week ready for the big pack-up on 4th. So if you have a change of address, now is the time to tell us )
Distribution
Before we even launched this Kickstarter we had spent months and months looking for a distributor to send all this card goodness out and it was a tough job. In fact one of the reasons we did not launch on our original date of August 2013 (then September, then October) was because we could not find a good price and service for the shipping and were certainly not going to 'wing it' having heard some rather nasty horror stories about how shipping costs had destroyed some KS projects.
Finally we found… Minerva … who for those that do not know are basically Wayland Games. These guys were recommended to us by our good friend Chris at Modiphius and have been great. We have been in constant contact with them since we closed the KS in December and they are all prepped and ready to go. We will oversea the whole packing personally and guide our helpers in the process. The main Strongholds are already packed by China (see our unboxing video) and so it's just the stretch goals and add-ons we need to do.
We said, while the KS was running, that the postage we charged you guys would not really cover the full costs of shipping your parcels and so we would make up the difference and we were right. In the end it was not too bad so we are hoping to keep the costs similar on our next KS for the fantasy terrain. Happy days )
With any luck your parcels will start being sent out on the 6th or 7th August with the last of them going on the 8th so we are lead to believe. UK delivery is about 3-5 days and RoW average will be 5-10 days, with some a little earlier and a few distant outposts getting theirs a few days longer we expect. Overall though most of you will have your stuff by about 13th - 18th August with a few first arrivals getting there from about the 8th or 9th. This is all assuming that the container arrives on time on the 4th which now it should do having cleared customs. D
Assembly videos
Over the next few days I will put the final assembly videos together and upload them to youtube, then link them all in a final assembly update right here before you receive your parcels. In addition they will also be available on our website too in one handy place. Wayne has already set most of this up and is just waiting on me for the final edited videos.

The only problem with Wayland I'm pretty sure is that you can be left waiting for a long time as items listed as "available" just mean "we're pretty sure we can order this in". If they have trouble getting stock for whatever reason, your order takes as long as it takes. Also they're not that cheap anymore. I have no problems with them shipping it.
