My thoughts exactly. While I'm really excited and impressed by what I've seen nothing beats hands on use and testing. I really appreciate them putting up the videos for how to prepare and care for these sets too.

/fan interaction work-wise.

Here's all I have managed, and some of that needs a little redoing with widening slots etc to make it all sit better.

Print is awesome, card seems good quality too.

But as all the assembly videos show, you need to take your time and carefully widen some of the slots or else it will just start bending/fraying as you put it together, which happened to me as I rushed the hangar door piece (got to go back and fix it).

When I start assembling in earnest I think I will:
1) Cut slots by eye to correct width
2) Dry fit
3) Brush superglue onto connecting areas
4) Reassemble once dry

I think that should give a good result.

Good to hear about the quality. The connection points were an expected problem I guess, I already stocked up on the superglue too hehe. Thanks for answering all the questions ; )

I got my shipping notification about twenty minutes ago so with any luck my stuff will be here by Thursday. It will be nice to finally have it in hand so I can compare it with my Terraclips stuff.. because right now that's the only thing holding back my excitement re: Fantasy Battle Systems.

Yeah I'm really happy we'll get to see our own, or at least have unbiased reviews of the production kits from the sci-fi terrain before we pledge for that. Them waiting is a sign of their confidence too imo and bodes well for the success of the fantasy terrain kickstarter.

a word of caution: be careful when opening up slots that you don't go too far - I may have to glue together the door section I just made as it's a bit floppy...

I know it's no different then the hundreds of other photos we've seen of the product so far, but hot damn that's nice looking terrain.

Well, to say we have been busy would just be silly. lol We have been flat out on the packing line, making sure everything is going smoothly. We have the full fulfilment team at Wayland working very hard and generally being observant and careful with your goodies.

No time for an in-depth report, but here are a couple of photos to get you by…

Well that's all for now, but rest assured we are working hard to get the orders out. We started with the UK and will work our way through the orders based on country, can't say which yet, but think it's Germany next.
