Just spotted:
Zone Mortalis Battlefield Complex and Blast Doors Set
The cities and star ships of the Imperium are often ancient and crumbing edifices, constructed in ages past from prefabricated STC designs that originate from before the Dark Age of Technology. In a galaxy beset by war any building or corridor may be pressed into service as a strongpoint. Abrupt corners and shadowed alcoves typify the interior workspaces, while narrow corridors and larger internal rooms can be sealed off by great plasteel blast doors.
Such areas, be they the contested decks of a void warship, tangled mine works, lightless underhives or sacred catacombs, all have a confluence of factors in common. They are closely confined, provide limited opportunity for ambushes or escape routes, as well as oft-times being treacherous, warp-tainted or toxic beyond the limits of the mortal condition. These battlefields are referred to in the Codex Tactica Imperialis as ‘Zone Mortalis’ – the fatal ground.
Forge World’s Zone Mortalis experimental rules expansion and scenery allow you to play out these desperate close-quarters battles in your games of Warhammer 40,000, and we have now combined the individual tiles into a Zone Mortalis Battlefield Complex which contains 16 individual tiles for a total playing area of 4' x 4' (122cm x 122cm). Four each of the Alpha, Beta, Delta and Gamma tiles are supplied in this set, creating an immense interchangeable battlefield.
We have also put together a Zone Mortalis Blast Door set which contain a total of 6 of our detailed, multi-part resin doors: 4 small Blast Doors and 2 Large Blast Doors. Both of these fantastic sets, designed by Blake Spence, are available to order now for immediate despatch, and don’t forget that we’ve recorded a video to show you just how awesome the Zone Mortalis scenery really is.
Complex is - £350
Door set is - £55
Zone Mortalis 25mm Etched Brass Base Details
To allow hobbyists to further customise their Warhammer 40,000 armies to fight within a Zone Mortalis, Forge World’s Kenton Mills, Paul Rudge and Blake Spence have designed a sheet of 25mm Etched Brass Base Details. The frame contains 12 detailed brass parts that fit onto standard 25mm slottabases, as well as 4 additional vents that can be used either on their own or added to the brass base. The frame that these parts are supplied on is additionally detailed for use on larger bases as well.
Set is £9.50

This all looks good, but boy those prices!
£350 for the 4' x 4' board is one thing but it comes with no doors?
The brass etched bases are very nice. They have allot of scope for non- 40k uses too.

The bass etched bases are nice and at £9.50 they arn't terribadly priced in comparrison with all the resin bases you get out there. there are lots of bass etch out there for £3 a sheet, but this is GW and it matches the zone so fair enough. I'm adding up in my head how much it'll cost to base my SpaceWolfs with these... Not sure how the trim works to detail larger bases?? 16 tile Zone Complex deal only saves you £10 on buying 4 x 4 tile sets. I think £350 including the set of doors would have drummed up more interest. The Doors only save you £5... Saying that I bought the doors they are really nicely detailed, quite chunky bits of resin and probabily worth the price bought on their own. Panic...

I expect that we'll see different size base toppers coming up down the line - 40mm for terminator sizes and 60mm for dreadnought sizes.
As for that £350 set, you'd think they'd chuck some goodies in for that cost. It's eye watering for what you get...

Price on the tiles is as with most FW terrain, pretty high up there. It's nice, but no use for it, and would find a cheaper alternative anyway.
Those toppers however are nice, and at an approximate cost (with shipping) of $17.00, they're in line with a lot of the other custom base costs.

This is down to new laws that are being implemented from the EU. Any website that uses cookies to track you (as almost all commercial sites do) MUST now tell you about it. It is not something that FW are doing just to annoy people.

Over £400 for terrain? No, don't think so. It's cool, but £400 cool?

On the cookies subject, looks like Forgeworld is utilizing some of google's marketing service. Hope it turns out to be a good investment for them.

Yes, yes it would, but if GW/ FW told you how to do that how would they get you to buy a £400 chunk of resin? Every time that GW/ FW loose a sale Mr Kirby kills a homeless child....why won't you think of the children!?!!!?!

I am sort of tempted to buy a small 3x3 board, doors and all. But am holding off to see if they will release other board variations as well as specific terrain. I seem to remember someone mentioning at the open day that they were looking at doing diagonal pieces as well as objectives etc.
