Anyone use them? I've got 2 of the larger GW carriers but they get very unweildy. I'm mostly a 40k IG player who loves his infantry and so I have lots and lots of models, and as the point value goes up the amount of needed troops goes up. The really big 1520 XL sized ones look perfect for me. Loaded up with enough trays for my guardsmen and enough space to carrier the armor I like to sub in depending on my fight of the night. So just curious what peoples opinion of them is. Are they durable? Carry as much as they say? Easy to transport?

I have the PACK Air. It is really nice, I got some of the layers with custom foam. When ordering make sure to pay special attention to sizes and how much space you're getting, I can't stress that enough. While the PACK Air is supposed to fit into all over heads it rarely does, luckily most air lines will let you through security with it at which point they will just stow it beneath at no cost. At least that has been my experience, but you should be prepared to have to pay to check most of the larger PACK systems including the air. Overall the PACK systems are a far better mini transportation method than the GW cases and store a lot more.

I bought a 432 to move around the foot component of my IG army (and four tanks) and I love it. Overall, a great product where the only drawback is the cost. The price doesn't bother me as its an investment, and the hobby is so expensive anyways that a 40-80$ difference between BF and the other options really doesn't phase me.
You can always buy the bag and just load up on different trays and fit them in as needed to the bag. I'll likely be investing the PACK Air for travel purposes and eventually a 1520 to haul all my IG around in one bag.

I hadn't even thought about traveling by plane. That was a good point. I don't mind the price, it's a bit up there but I do see it as a worthwhile investment considering the time and money I put into building my army.

I like mine (the Heavy Gear case) and am considering getting a Pack GO at some point. The trays for infantry are pretty good, and I've repacked most of my 40k SoBs, with attached ImpGuard platoon, in themas I can't bear to part with them.

I've got x3 of the XL1520 and x2 432's. After I bought my first battlefoam I sold all my GW cases and replaced them with battlefoam.
From a personal view, I cannot recommend them enough. Its not just the product, but the customer service is brilliant. My 1k Sons fit in an XL 1520 and 9/10 models require a custom fit. Through various emails we designed all the trays exactly how they needed to be.
Its also good for my IG as previously it was x2 GW double and x1 Single with a small box for other bits to transport it. Now, it all wheels round in 1 XL.

I've got a P.A.C.K Air for my Dark Eldar. With the exception of 1 model (RWing Jetfighter), it holds my entire ~3000 point army, plus the codex, rule book, dice, tape measure, 3 WWP's, templates and glue (just incase!) with ease. It was super expensive, but I'm extremely glad I got it. Other than the price, I cant fault it in any way. The exterior still looks immaculate (despite many trips with it sliding about the boot of my car). I've never had a model break in it, and its really easy to carry (or wheel if needs be) it around. Most importantly, it's big enough to literally carry EVERYTHING. If you have the pennies going spare (you will neeed a lot of them though!) then its well worth it.

I have a PACK 432 and PACK 720 and they're great. I recommend them highly.
A friend of mine has a rather sizable IG army (2500+ points) that all fits into a PACK 720 amazingly.

I have a 1520 with a 720 zippered to it's top. They're quite spacious and pretty well constructed. I think the 720 is actually a little better put together than the 1520 is. Something about it just feels much more durable. Having previously come from Sabol, I can say that the BF bags are pretty good bags though.
My only complaint is that some of the custom cut stuff is a little snug. I can't actually get my basilisks into my sheet cut for them. I suspect that this is because I have the old chassis basilisks rather than the newer ones, which are a little slimmer. Manticores and other things fit the slot perfectly.

I have a 720 with the extension, and a PACK Air, and I'm quite satisfied with both as my primary transports for my Blood Angels and Grey Knights. I haven't tried them yet with my Daemons and Guard, but I'm sure they'd work just fine for the former, and with enough prep, perhaps I could fit the latter into one case as well.
If you were going to buy one, I'd go for the Air. It's got wheels and is much more manageable in terms of moving it about. The 720 is bulky, and even with the strap, it's still a companion cube sized thing at your hip. From your car to the store is no problem; carrying it longer distances could be a bother.

I have a 1520, a 720, and a bunch of extra trays.
I'm a huge fan of Battlefoam.
My only warning is to make sure you know your models. I've had more models break in Battlefoam than I ever did in Sabol (and I've only been using BF for about a year). the thing is, though, the breaks are my own fault and not a product issue. Know your army before buying your trays. make a list of your models and know what size spots you'll need for them. My issues have been from trying to make a model fit into a spot that's too small (causing it to break) or too big (causing it to come part of the way out & stick to the tray on top of it as the tray's pulled out or pushed in).
Buy sensibly, and you'll do fine.
