Hey gd, I think the shield on the chest is a bit too large and unrefined next to the intricate resin detailing, have you considered gsing a smaller shield on? Or using the circle the scorpion symbol is in as a frame and either smoothing it with gs to freehand something?

Tom, I had much the same reaction from Migsula about the chest shield. I'm working over options in my head on where to go with it. I want to keep the shield detail in some fashion as it's a good tie in to the original Lysander model, but want it to flow better. I'm thinking of doing a sculpted one should I not find an appropriate bit.
Alph, I haven't 100% committed to the speeder just yet. But every time I pass by the models on my shelf, I see the speeder waiting impatiently for me to assemble it . Automatically Appended Next Post: And thanks all for the compliments

You use a white prime and airbrush the green, or do you use a regular brush?
Is that a rocket launcher btw?
or somekind of special heavy weapon?^^

IPS, I do indeed use an airbrush to go over a white primer with Scorpion Green. See above for more on the Missile Launcher Thanks for the help guys!

A few changes. Shield and chest shield namely. Cleaned up the tube thing at the head opening too.

Looks good to me, though the little shield on the chest seems like it needs a little more detailing. Other then that, it looks like a fantastic conversion. Can't wait to see it painted

prime, thanks, I plan to do some freehand work to fill in any detail that might look to be lacking at the moment. I do need to clean the new spots up still, so we'll see if inspiration strikes while I'm doing that.
Git, They are greek inspired shields from maxmini. I've been modifying them to add some variety to the three shield set .

Very nice man. Been a while since I was excited about 40k, but that terminator is just about enough to do it. I absolutely adore the Grecian style shield; if I get back into marines somehow, I will now have to get Roman scutum style stormshields to compensate
The smaller chest shield really was a good idea too. Doesn't look like it would get in the way of his arms as much as the other one certainly.
And good god, seeing those base coated marines the first thought in my head was "I wonder if he wears a lead skirt over his junk when working with those..." Looks just like the uranium rod from the opening of the Simpsons.
