Heh, hold your horses. they 'aint done yet.

I have a little hobby-thread going in the P&M section. Some say it's the best blog on Dakka, some don't agree, most belive it would be better if I finished at least one project some time this century and not just kept starting new ones.
Check it out, you just might like it.

Keep them, they are neat! Put up a small squad plus a dread and build them a small scenic collective base and you'll have a wonderful showpiece.

I don't even know what I am gonna use them for, a friend said that 16 of them (the amount I have parts for) and a dread is almost a whole draigowing if I run them as paladins.. but I dunno.. the GK's make me feel a bit.. dirty.
I could handle a henchmen army without 'em silver-boyz but a draigo-wing? no.. no wai!

Check out special ops Killzone at http://www.thecodexproject.com/

It's just some modified rules for a 40k skirmish game. Great for using truescale marines with, I've been trying it out it's a lot of fun. I plan on using it, a great opportunity to do some modelling and not be limited to one faction in the game, and truescale marines because there are no vehicles involved, and you don't have to model 60 of them to play.

They are also working on a set of rules in which the marines would act more like in the fluff, hopefully for killzone.

I have problems with that sometimes, it stops midway through the download but usually if I shrink the picture making it a smaller file it works. Same problem?

Well, I managed to get a single pic uploaded after a lot of shenanigans. Then the server didn't want to humor me anymore, so one pic of a thing I built this weekend. But I'll try toget some more pics of this and of the painting progress on the Legionairres.

This is my second Defiler for my Dark Mechanicum army. It is a defiler.. and a whirlewind launcher.. To simulate the battlecannon, I like large missiles okay!?
also I was a bit too lazy to run with the first idea I had with a large arm-mounted cannon with shelldrums and stuff.

So,yeah.. this will need a Cities of Death board to -ever- get a coversave.. I kind of like it.

Who cares if it never gets a cover save? It looks damn cool An arm mounted cannon would have been worth the work, I think, but the sword and flail combo is awesome. Cannon arm on the next one right?

Wow! Nice work. Do you have any wip pics? It looks like a reorganized Defiler with a Whirlwind rack on its back.

awesome defiler conversion... that's a great idea to use missiles! It looks very much like a titan... better than a lot of the standing defiler conversions out there.

Thank you guys, I managed to get the other shots uploaded.
Moar defiler-bonanza for you! I am afraid I do not have any wip pics but it's made from a defiler kit, 2 armorpanels from the soulgrinder kit, a dreadknight sword and a whirlewind launcher. Also a few decoratives and so from the chaos vehicle sprue and some andom chaosy bits.

Le Pictures.

A better scale-shot.

Enjoy.

Defilers, only good for kitbashing.

That looks pretty awesome. Though, the sonic screamer thing mounted on the shoulder looks like it might be eating missile due to it's location.

The stance of the thing is really cool, I think that's the most important thing to get out of a walker, a dull stance can just kill a cool modeling job, but a nice stance can make it look spectacular.

I love the kitbash. I really like how you did the head of the defiler.

It's nice to see all of your other projects hiding in the wings as well. At first glance, it looked like your latest creation was in front of some terrain.

Just something I am clobbering together from scrap parts, thought I could use an assultgun-thingy. Got no big plans for it yet.

However I AM planning to ressurect my mothballed Ordinatus Recovery and Reconstruction project.. got to get that old thing in fighting shape again for my Dark Mechanicum..

For you who have no idea of what I am talking about I built this a few years back::

Then THIS kind of happened:

So now it needs a complete re-build and well, I haven't had the energy to get back to it tho be honest.. soon however.. who knows.
