it might have done better if it wasn't the xmas shopping season too. Another thing holding people back is I think a lot of potential backers want to see finished & painted models, not artwork and 3D sculpts... which makes it a lot tougher on the designer because it costs a lot more time & money to do that.

I think the models look great. I especially love the quad-tread tank. I wouldn't worry too much though, it's approaching the magical "end of the campaign" where all the people that think Kickstarter is Ebay will pledge at the last minute and the funding will shoot up

Wish I could get in on it, but I'm too broke :( But this campaign will be a good start, so get the orders filled and ship them out so you have a "real" game that people have started playing, and then do a 2nd campaign for all the stretch goals you didn't get to this time

@RiTides I agree with you. As we´re a new company with a new project the most important for us now is to raise necessary funds and to show wargamers what we are able to do. I think that as soon as we get known, things will be easier for us. Our intention is to come and to stay.

The Asakura Incident

The humanity, now divided found a new alien race: the Elohim. This is an almost ethereal race formed by pure energy stored in crystals that give a shape to their physical bodies.

The first contact with the Elohim was established in 545 by a commercial spaceship, the Asakura Space Conveyor, belonging to the Corporation. The strange form of the Elohim and their philosophy based on the permanence of energy and thus on the immortality of their race made some people think that they met authentic gods. For others these aliens turned out to be the same threat as the Skraldar. The Corporation believed the latter and sent their troops against the aliens.

Immediately there were people who switched over to the other side, who called the encounter with the Elohim the Asakura Revelation and became obedient servants of the aliens and were fighting for them.

Soon the war expanded as the Theocracy declared a Crusade against the Elohim accusing them of being Servants of Evil, and in 551 the Union of Colonies supported the rebellion on planet Damodara of the Corporation starting the war with it.

check out the scale shot of the Elohim tank!

23 hours to go and plenty of time to hit those stretch goals!

What would be the best way to go if I just wanted to order a couple of tanks? Just do a basic $1 pledge, and then add on the $18 per tank? (I'm too lazy to cut and paste a pound symbol :p)

also it looks like the 3 tanks all have the same body, so are the turrets multi-part? Like, can I buy one tank and be able to make all 3 variants?

Hi Necros, I believe you'd need the £7 pledge to cover postage for your tanks. I believe they looked at adding all the parts to the basic tank kit but not sure if their going to do that due to costs.

Im sure sentinalg will answer you properly tho, they keep a good eye on the forums.

Being resin cast, having separate molds for the various turrets and therefore the capability to cast them as needed makes a lot of sense. Having said that, I asked early during the KS if we could purchase turrets separately and seem to remember being told 'no', though I may be wrong.

Hi,

@Necros Each tank comes with only one turret type.

@Cpt Jake Sorry but I don´t remember your question (the campaign was very long). At this moment we can´t give a exact price for such addon but it´s easy to includes the turrets as addons, so why not? We will include the turrets option as addon in the Pledge Manager after the campaign ends. Thanks!

Is it too early to celebrate the success of this campaign?

Under 9 hours to go and at 31,201 pounds.

I'm so happy it got there and that the Stakan is now an addon.

Awesome work all

Just remember the Golden Rule of Kickstarter, SentinelG: update, update, update!

Keep us in the loop, no matter how much progress you are or are not making, and you'll keep this goodwill for the next KS (or release). For an example, look at Dreamforge and Kingdom Death.

Thanks for all the support!

When the campaign ends we will open the official forum to keep TE alive. Also we will show the prototypes of all the minis in the next week in future updates.

Congrats on getting this off the ground. I am eagerly awaiting the chance to assemble my Space Russians. I hope to see even more crazy stuff out of you guys in the future, too.

This is the first kick starter I've backed. What happens now that it made it?

When do we get billed and when to we choose the additional models?

Think I saw that models will ship mid year.

Thanks.

Now the wait begins.

I was charged already, so it should hit your card soon if not already. Usually it takes about 2 weeks for funds to get to the creator.

At some point in the next few months sentinel will send out a survey or a link to gather information and potentially allow additional money for addons.

Other than that sit back and wait. Hopefully they will send out progress updates fairly frequently and the goods get sent in June (or earlier...fingers crossed)

Thanks for that Triple9. On the package I got, part of it was a choice of extra models so I guess that will be done through the kick stater web site?

It depends. KS allows one survey to be sent out by the creator, but it's very limited and a PITA. A lot of KS use it to gather email addresses and then use third party software to gather the selected goodies. Most likely sentinel will send out an update with a what's next in a week or two.

Nice forum, but it really needs a painting/modeling section. You've got some good painters as fans and I'm sure they'd love to have somewhere to swap pics and advice.

If your foru has a lot of artwork, pictures and background discussions, I look forward to it.

However, please remember to send out Kickstarter updates to all your backers as TE develops. And please maintain your presence on Dakka Dakka, so more people can see your work. Don't fall into the Reaper/Sedition Wars/Palladium/etc. trap and leave the majority of your customers in ignorance.

I agree. Keep updating here on Dakka as I check here quite often.

New production run photos

plus news of a delay :(

Unfortunately, we have to announce that it is possible that we won´t be able to deliver the rewards in June. We have miscalculated the production time of one of the main elements: the bases. After having redesigned them for several times so that they fit perfectly we understood that we delayed the delivery several weeks. For the moment we can´t give you any exact date but we believe that the delay won´t be very long. We are very sorry for this and hope that when you have your rewards you´ll be able to forgive us.

I don't work for Sentinel Games but here is a heads up that it looks like Total Extinction is doing pre-orders for several items.
http://sentinel-games.com/en/

It looks delivery in June but I'm still on the fence if they can do it.
Depending on how the STAKAN scales, I might be getting one to use in an Imperial Guard force... and those Tanks, just like something the U.N.A would use from AT-43!
