Will the minis sent to backers have such large attachment points to the sprue, or are the pieces once cast for production going to have a lot of that cleaned off?

I assume what we are seeing are 3d prints so am betting what we get won't have all that, but do want to know.

Every time a terrorist dies a Paratrooper gets his wings.

It was confirmed some time ago that the finished models won't have the large attachments that the 3d prints we're seeing have on them. They're just an artefact of the printing process used for the prototypes.

Yeah, that support material is just true of this method of 3d printing... mine does the same thing! Since they're casting in resin I don't think attachment points should be much different from any other resin kit (like forgeworld's, etc).

Prankster and RiTides are right. Those attachment are only in the 3d prototype, the final miniatures will not have it.

Quick question: If I have the Specialist pledge and I want to add on a squad of warriors (or any other add ons), do I need to pay for additional shipping? Or is the shipping included already in the price of the Specialist pledge?

Also, I really want to see the Elohim not-Kosh become available.

@BobtheInquisitor If yoy are in the US or Europe the shipping is included.

How exactly does this work?

You only have to increase your pledge by £1 (or take a pledge of Commissar).
In the survey after the campaign only the backers with at least £1 in addons (or in Commissar level) at 30 of November will have the option to purchase this mini.

It 91% there and now I am hoping it gets to 35,000 so we can have the textured bases.

Still 11 days to go so fingers crossed.

Sentinel, I've been meaning to ask, should this for whatever reason not reach its funding goal, are you going to try and push it into production anyway? Same with the stretch goals, will we eventually see those various units made some day even if the goal isn't met?

That is a very good question. I am hopeful that it will make funding but will the based be available even if it does not reach the first stretch goal.

The bases are nice and I want to use your bases however; if I have to build my own bases then there would be no reason to buy your bases in the future as I would keep making my own to match the army even on new purchases.

Maybe the first stretch goal could be lowered

We are very close to the funding goal (£2400) and 11 days to go so we think we could reach at least this one. If we couldn´t we will try to relaunch the campaign later or go to more "traditional" funds (i.e. bank loans).

About strecth goals minis, if we couldn´t reach it now, we will release it after the game is in retail (the Stakan and the Lurcher must to be in your gameboards!!)

The textured bases stretch goal is at 35k, if we have good final days we could reach it. Anyway we have to take a calculator and be sure when release it.

There's no way this one doesn't fund!

Well, unless there's some lurking "Thon issue" somewhere that we haven't seen/don't know about yet, but that doesn't look likely!

In the images a Stakan with antitank rockets and air-to-air missiles

Now that this project is funded, it really could do with some more...exciting and enticing stretch goals, I think!

Glad to see this finally funded! I can't wait to get my hands on that infantry or those tanks. I'm REALLY hoping we get the flyers unlocked. I really want those things.

The human tanks and infantry are really what are keeping me in this.

Love their flyers too...

So this has funded. Congrats to Sentinel Games.

This kickstarter is really a bit of a conundrum to me.
When I look at their page I see
Amazing concept art
Realized vision for a game
Renders AND prototypes of miniatures
A highly engaged team with over 60 updates that responds to feedback enthusiastically
... and a project that has struggled to reach funding.

Meanwhile, when HeroQuest was still around, I saw NONE of the above - yet they got over $500K in two days...

Honestly, part of why I ended up supporting this was because I felt that these guys not getting up would have been a grave injustice.

I agree with you. I would have thought there would have been a lot more support. Great rules, models and commitment from the team. They are however venturing into a market with a strong established competition. They can thrive as all they need to do, is do it better than the other guy and listen to their customers.

That said Hero Quest does have a special place in many peoples hearts and their run away success was to be expected I guess.

I think managed well this game will go from strength to strength and do very well over time.

I supported it because it because to me it feels a bit like where 40K was 20 years ago but with whole new races and a new universe to explore.

I am really happy it got funded and I don't think we have seem the last of the Stakan.
