Hey guys, just wanted to know if any other members of dakka dakka played the game warframe? If so, we should put a clan together, next update after all is the "rise of the warlords" and is all about clans, in both trading and competitiveness aspects, and more. If you don't play warframe, why don't you? You play as one of the legendary Tenno, masters of gun and blade, the lotus has awoken you from a cryogenic sleep to fight the invading factions such as the corpus (anybody else think of the adeptus mechanicus) and the grineer (humans), you fight in a co-op 4 man team in raid style missions across the galaxy, whether its Ceres or Uranus (yes, yours) you can probably fight and PWN ass there, overall its a brilliant game, with good graphics and rich storyline, although lore is still being worked on.

I play Warframe. It's satisfying, but not great.

This. I think the game has a lot of potential when I played the beta a half year ago, but then they released the game and I was like "Well. Another meh game got released that could have been so much better."

the updates seem to be very promising, they know what the community wants and are providing it

Tried this game for the first time today, and by the Emperor its awesome! The gameplay is such a refreshing take on the MMO thingy, and who dose not like to chop bad guys with a sword!

Its ok, but they really need to add more maps and enemies. Some free weapons would be nice as well, though I do like the crafting system.

That said, it is a really good game, and the Co-Op system is well implemented. I had a few games with Trondheim yesterday, and it was pretty fun. Word of advice though: if you see a toxic ancient or a heavy machine gunner kill it ASAP or run like hell until you have back up or a range advantage.

My name on Warframe is Trondheim, I have played several games today and I agree with what Chtuluspy said. It needs more maps and some fixes to the weapon system. But keep in mind that its still a open beta so I recon we will see more and improved features when the game is released in due time.

I'm downloading this now. Looks good, kind of like mass effect 3 multiplayer. I'm TheUndert0ker on steam.

Allright, been playing this a bit. I've got mixed feelings. Once again for a cooperative, team-based game, no one seems interested in this.

Instead, players seem to like to spastically run around as fast as possible in random directions.

Also, the pacing of it seems too fast in general, just break-neck speed through each mission. If you don't have the level layout already memorized, its easy to get lost and cut off.

And you get stuck with really crap, boring weapons right off. The sword is cool, but you quickly find yourself having to mash buttons or shoot an enemy for a very long time to take them out.

Got to level 4 so far and I'd rather play mass effect 3 multiplayer than this, but I'll give it a bit longer.

don't worry, as soon as you get a new weapon and some mods, itll be good, the first boss drops a cronus blueprint, that's a katana like weapon, its very effective and im a level 18, using your powers and weapons will make the game have a variety also, what warframe are you, that can affect a lot of your gameplay.

This sums it up, also the game is best played for the few first lvls with people that you know. If needed I can have a few games with you

Agreed, if needs be, you can roll with the big boys cave dweller! no but with all seriousness, you've actually gotta work a bit on low-levels to add variety, on Pluto every guy is a master with his powers and uses them in sync to his weapons and blade to become.... A Tenno, a master of the game and true ninja, to become what this game is meant to be like.

I got to Saturn, lvl 8 I think, there are things I like about this game, but then at the same time it is competing with the much more polished Mass Effect 3 multiplayer.

True, but that's not the point.

You are comparing a game that is free that everyone can have, to a game that is quite pricey that not everyone has. That's a huge difference right there.
Its not a competition if the two are different enough. I believe the word "niche" may be applicable here.

It's pretty fun though I'm beginning to dislike the repetitiveness of the missions and the levels...

How much variartion do you need? Although the latest patch seems to have brougth a fair bit more variation into the game.

Well every single level seems to consist of the same set of corridors/rooms...
It would be nice to have some variation.

Well to be fair, almost any game that involves guns, space and space stations tends to follow those lines. Myself I do not see this as a issue, I find them nice enough to keep me comning back to it on a regular basis.

I play it, its pretty sweet, its a nice break away game from the routine space marine or dawn of war, its very fun, stealth play has more potential but isnt quite there ( I suggest higher levels of mobility, such as assassins creed). The stock weapons can be pretty kick-butt with good mods and levels.

I was playing today and was quite satisifies. Crafting my own paris and its going to be sweet.

I do see how it makes sense for there to be levels of similarity but in some cases it does get a bit silly...
Personally i'd like a bit more variation in ship classes (So the rooms are more varied or even smaller/bigger) or the condition of a space station.
Like infestation but instead of that a space station has lost atmosphere or artificial gravity so you take damage if your shields are down or when you jump you jump much higher but it takes a while to come down...
