Theo - Interesting, it could be dragging horrifying cocoons behind it....

I suspect those will get painted as boils rather than eyes, but we'll see...


OMN - Oh, I think I remember them..... The legs are from the old Arabic warrior bugs from Mongoose Games' Starship Troopers. Excellent for those larger bug type beasties.



Tried adding that touch of green to the termie....







Think that works - maybe change it up slightly on different figures, and reverse the ratio of yellow to green on the more 'standard' marines.


And have it a go on the predator variant...





Possibly should have added some green to the turret.

Although now I'm thinking I might just keep the two standard colours across the force, applied differently in each case. Keep it all random and chaotic, just let the colours bring everything together.

Had a bit of a poke around in the model room, mainly because I'm sure there's an old forge world blight drone kicking around somewhere, but got distracted...





This has been sitting around since the Dreamforge kickstarter, at the time I was wondering what sort of orky madness could come of it. But now...scythe, skull, hmmm, that has potential for a Nurgle armiger.

Most of the sub-assemblies built, not finished the carapace, the feet, or the torso, as I now need to contemplate how pox-ridden and pestilence it becomes

This is the 15mm version, the 28mm is still in it's box for now.




And further distraction (because, me) was provided by these guys....





There seems to be enough for 3 squads of seven, and seven in a heavy support squad...hmmm.

So the long process of cleaning and removing aquilas has begun. To be followed by a long process of tattering uniforms and individualising troopers.

Might even through in a few Krieg, something like this guy

The Leviathon Mortis is an awesome model pciked up the extra guns for mine as I plan to use it as an Imperator and the claw can't reach low enough to punch a Warlord!

Llama - It is a great kit - I have an assortment of variants weapons for both scales, I just wanted to build the basic kit before deciding where to take it, so the claw may not stay


In a surprise move I actually continued with some existing models, namely the Septic Watch.

















Just the yellow done obviously, whilst I decide what to green. And I'm still working on building their leader.
I deliberately managed to avoid Springfield weapons to power versions when building, so now thinking on what to do with them. I had been contemplating some weird colour scheme that either suggested energy weapons without any of the gubbins, or just looked like strange crystalline or metallic materials. Now however I'm veering towards just completely rusted blades. The staffs will be greyish, with wraps of flesh or possibly red. The backpacks probably verdigris stained metallics.


And figures this would make a good ride for someone:







Probably some sort of renegade or cultist rather than a marine...

I love your Tri-minator. It's brilliant. And really keen to see what happens to your not-armiger.

The leviathan is such a great model, wish he could have figured out even a cruddy game to use with his stuff and gotten some traction.

The Septic Watch and their weapons are really turning out great, I’m all for rusty weapons.

Jet bike looks like a killer bee to me for some reason, definitely not a marine ride as it isn’t far too sleek looking. Perhaps with your eclectic style you could make some chaos Eldar that were corrupted by Nurgle.

Liking the direction of the colors, needs a bit more reddish gore I think.

Those crawlers are looking great. I never got to see the starship trooper figs in the wild, but those legs look great for many conversions.

So worked on this guy...







Almost there, a bit of work on face and gore needed, and the wing veins.
Probably get a plague-bearer on his back, and need to find some sort of standard type thingy for the saddle.


And started testing the colour scheme on a 'regular' marine...







Still liking it, so it's certainly variants of this scheme across The Scourge - or the marine types anyway.



And the Tek-Wraiths...
























Happy with how these guys are turning out, spent ages trying to find tendrils/tentacles that I felt worked well. Still some details for painting, and the verdigris is on it's first layer - that'll get knocked back a bit next round.


And just some messing around trying to get a wee beastie..









Was looking to use that 'body' on some kind of helldrake, but I think a crawler will be it now. If that 'head' gets used I'm thinking of having it in the process of splitting in half, lots of goopy gory tendrils hanging between the two parts.

The flying worm thing made me instantly think of the X-Files episode with the leech guy.

Cool start for multi leg bug thing , I always approve of techno bugs.

Ok yeah those tek-wights are awesome I vote keep the faded green colour. It fits them so well

I love the weird defiler bug. It should have a tail - a pus Scorpion, because why should khorne have all the fun? Nice use of blight drone cables on the Tek wraiths too.

Very cool stuff. I like the winged serpent gribbly. I'm also looking forward to seeing what you are creating from the defiler.

Ynneadwraith - Many thanks! I'm keeping the green, but going to darken one of the layers slightly, just to get a bit of difference in there. Took me ages to find cables I was happy with, never once thought of a single one like your wyrmling - like many good conversions, that seems so obvious now


graven - Pus-scorpion. I like that. I did have some scorpion like ideas floating around somewhere in concept-space, now there's a name to go with some of them Forgot I had those whilst I was trying to figure out the builds, then for some reason remembered them when I found the tyranid spore tentacles.

Cain - Merci! I'd be slightly surprised if you had. Body was based on cut down sea-elf mount, with a head from a plague-drone, and wings from a Prodos dragon steed.



Watch and Wraiths have had a little work done, but nothing big enough forwarding new pics yet.

Surprisingly enough, I found some other distractions...

Graven recently popped a Nurgle Chaos Lord in with some other bits, so figured I should do something with him. Had to do a bit of thinking first, as it was already assembled, so chopping had to be planned a little bit.











Stupidly I put the gun arm in place with GS before finishing it, so that needs to wait till the join cures now. There's a bit more tidying up, some putrid scrolls to be added, and some ragged banners coming off the pole. The faceplate will probably also get a bit of rotting hole action.


Right shoulder may just be an exploded boil, or it may get a tentacle.







Also started on a leggy servitor







Likely it'll get a rotary cannon based on the Tau cannon, or maybe a melta actually. It was going to be part of an Explorator group, or possibly Inq or Rogue Trader, may end up chaos after getting that tail.

Playing with the idea of a daemonhost in a cafe formed from the old Empire Celestial Hurricanum - haven't found a suitable figure yet though.

And seem to have misplaced the tracks and wheels for the predator...hmmmm

Check out those legs baby love where you're going with the chaos lord, more imaginative than me with my other spare lol. Cannon is particularly nifty.

Love the helmet on the terminator, but given your love of tentacles I think the spikeonthe shoulder needs to Goan don’t get replaced with the boil or maybe a blown off tentacle. That might make him look like a battle hardened warrior .

Really digging that termi lord, underslung blight launcher combi-stubber, spooky featureless dome helmet and somehow cute lil' aerial. Sorta reminds me of Pikmin

Also a fan of all the various gribbly things in this plog, especially all them skittery legs.

Lol crazed as always I wee.. Loving it . Not 100% sure on the shoulder tentacle for the chaos lord though, it doens't follow the movement of the modle for me. Random thought: f you had a smaller version of the servitor tail, that would be a badass shoulder tentacle!
