Varies between hardly at all to obssesive, currently I'm at obssesive.

For months and months and months I haven't been able to take my mind off 40k.

Well with Mid-term break coming up,I'll try and finish some projects.

Paint 20 marines,a difiler,and add the final touches to my Terminators.

I wrgame lots and my parents say it wastes most of my life

I play once a week, though I want to play more. A small gaming community makes gaming regularly hard.

40K is a huge part of my life and im not sure i how i got along without it

I spend time on 40k each week, but I spend most of my hobby time/money in airsoft

I enjoy and I think its agreat and fun thing, but it is not a major thing part of my life. I like to also go to partys meet girls, do sports, and chill with my friends.

I think its a bit wrong when you spend all the time on one thing. Somtimes when I go to GW I see kids there that go there everyday for the entire day, and they always say "I have no friends". Well you need to go get some, there are alot more fun things then just wargameing! But I love Warhammer 40k anyways.

Is there anything above primary interest? lately its been taking up all my free time plus I can't get any homework done unless I tie it into wargamming or starwars. I'm even writting a reasearch paper on starwars for my english class. All this from someone who hasn't actually played a face to face game except once vs my little brother in almost 8 months.

Like others have said I run ideas for conversions, fluff, lists and tactics through my head alot throughout the day, especially during my second job which is incredibly dull. I also spend a fair bit of time on here or over at CDO. The actual physical time I devote to the hobby varies from little to big impact depending on the time of year, time off and xbox releases. If xbox is quiet I spend quite alot of time modeling (I don't game anywhere near as often as I'd like) or painting especially if its winter/bad weather.

While it is my biggest hobby, I just don't have the time to spend loads of time on it

Enough that it annoys my wife, not enough that it causes problems.

I have 1 interest at a time.

I was hooked on paintball for a while, then video games, then warhammer, then video games again, no i'm back to warhammer.

each cycle seems to last about a year, so lets paint while the paintings good !

The recent release of Skyrim notwithstanding, 40k takes up most of my free time in one way or another. I do alot of fiddling with army lists, talking about strategy, painting, converting, and in general just having 40k on the brain.
But yeah Skyrim has been taking up an insane amount of time since it's release, forcing me to paint 3 oblits and 20 berserkers in two days, during thanksgiving, to prepare for a tournament this weekend. I can't think of any other hobby I'd do that for.

I said main hobby. It really helps me have something to do and take pride in, and to play games with. Although if models just weren't so pricy I would say that it has a Humungous impact on my life.

It takes up most of my life. When I am on the internet, its wargaming stuff. Outside of the internet? Painting, modeling, comverting.

I spend a good couple of hours gaming a week and some painting as well so moderate

Time wise it doesn't impact my days much. However my participating in the hobby it allows me to further enhance my creative side. This allows me to relax and enjoy life more.

I'm glad you said wargaming.
Biggest hobby. As wargaming is the cheapest.
But only building and painting.
Nowhere to play.

My other interest is athletics, for which it is two-fold.

First off i am on the Canada Men's Olympic Judo team, so i train at the judo dojo at least twice a week Monday and Wednesday nights, with masterclass on Friday nights to teach the ju jitsu rookies proper kata or submissions.

My second physical pursuit is paintball; i am the captain of the local paintball team and currently defending champions of our league's pump action division.

However, being a wargamer / hobbyist came first and therefore will be foremost as it is a creative endeavour!

I said moderate. I get a game in about once a week and maybe paint/build 1 day a week.

It used to take up a lot of my free time, but life changed and my will to spend time on it slipped away. That and With my work eating much of time

When I was shopping for the last two houses part of the specification was that they had a room large enough to store all of my wargames stuff and have a full size table permanently setup.
