Yes, yes I did. Imagine if you can, a weaker leman russ, with little option for non-scattering anti tank weapons, and the ones I can field I can't use because i'm BS2 and have no lumbering behemoth rule. And no Knight commander pask.

Then you might consider re-adapting your tanks for the field.

Soo, I had every intention to paint my SAG today, but I never really knew what to field him with.

Then, upon seeing my mates drop pod sprue, I had an idea. How about an array of smaller, more compact Shokk Attack Guns (count as looters). Then I went about finding volunteers for this weapons program in my bitz box, found a few loose boys, a couple aobr boys and 1 shoota boy. Needless to say they were more then willing to give up there sluggas for a more powerful weapon . Then in my bitz box I found some really weird things that I could slap a drop pod turbine on and call it a shokk attak gun. These are the results.

Over Armers (Da Shokk-zooka Boys)

Under Armers (Shokk-Lobba Ladz)

All Together

Still got a significant amount of work to do on them, but it's a start. Gotta add gibblys, whirly things, zappy things, cables, straps and power packs.

What do you think forum?

thanks aye, been through hell with my SAG Mek to try and find a suitable unit to put him with. I figure lootas cause you can't give them a bosspole, they have good range and shouldnt have to move. Although I might have a problem with my Mek and lootaz wanting to fire at different targets

My HQ Bodyguard Units are looking like:

Boss Spear 'Ead = (3) Nob Bikers
SAG Mek = (5 - 8) Lootas
KFF Mek = (5) Mega Armoured Nobs
Grotsnik = (30) Slugga Boys
Zogwort = (7) Nob Squad
Mega amoured warboss = I have no idea, probly just another 7 man nob squad lol.

Not much progress tonight, other then basecoating my SAG, MA-Warboss and german half track.

Other then that I'm trying to grab hold of a very small drill bit for wires on my SAG Lootas, not much.

Will update as soon as possible. Keep cool forum.

Thanks mate, pity I could only make 5 (due to drop pods only have 5 turbines) but i'm thinking I might be able to extend the unit by adding loaders (snotling loaders) and runtherders with snotlings on the bases. might be able to get 10, better for bosspoles

Offtopic, but something to look forward to. Just trying a new paint scheme for one of my orks boys (a tester model). I'm thinking desert rats, bleached bone with gryphon sepia or devlun mud, with grey straps. Should be a change from the boring grey with black straps 'n boots.

Peace.

I recently painted up a Snikrot (that I should really take some pics of) using Kommando Khaki and Devlan Mud, and I'm really happy w/ the way it looks. He's going to be leading a unit of similarly painted Kommandos, and served as the test for their paint scheme. I'll try to get some pics taken in the next couple of days so you can see how the effect looks.

I'll answer that for you. Yes. Yes you do. Every good mek knows that to first build something worthy of his skills he first much tear something apart for insperation. Just messin with ya.

But I have to say those tanks look great. They remind me of the gun trukks from the old armageddon codex.

Well spank my ass and call me Charlie. I went to skip to last read and didnt realize I was on page 2 and there was a page 3. misses all your stuff after the Gun Trukks till I went back.

Also, just got quick pic of my upcoming SAG, obviously I took off his SAG arm to paint him a bit better. Not the greatest Picture as I was painting it at the time.

Great idea for an army especially the tanker battlewagon. You seen the Kromlech bits they'd be perfect for this army?

"But me no buts! Our comrades get hurt. Our friends die. Falkenburg is a knight who swore an oath to serve the church and to defend the weak. It is an oath we honour. Even when some soft southern burgher mutters about us, we know the reason he sleeps soft and comfortable, why his wife is able to complain about the price of cabbages as her most serious problem and why his children dare to throw dung and yell "Knot" when we pass. Thanks

As for Kromlech, Yes I have seen them, and if they were in my price range I would purchase them. Unfortunately as a student working part time to keep my apartment its not going to happen for a long while. My current Collection took a long time to accumulate, so I'm looking to get them finished first.

How goes it forum, well I did it, but it was a mission.

My SAG Mek

I gave him the grabba stick because I had cut the hand off his snotling suction pump (refer to page 1, big mek in mega armour) and it would have looked stupid. Also went around trimming his shock attack gun to have no snotling pumps. (My interpretation of the shokk attack gun requires holding the snotling in front of the SAG, hence the Big Meks missing hand.

I'm also very pleased with the brown straps on his coat, it just fits really well. I'm planning on doing that for all my orks now. Just a bit of revision.

Peace forum.

Cheers and I'm thinking about doing the head up, well actually just the scope, I was hoping the blue would be lighter but it wasnt. Also if you had'nt already guessed (which I assume you had) it's the head from the KFF Mek, now i've got half a KFF mek to try and work with lol.

hmm dakka points, not as good as points but better then points, haha.

Wow, that SAGy came out great! I have yet to tackle one of those pieces, so it's nice to have some non-GW inspiration for when I get around to assembling one of these! Kudos to you, sir!

Ya know, you could probably mount a small hand-flamer on your mek's grabba stikk for a "counts as" burna. It would be a lot of points, but it might be worth it for a way to deal with those inevitable Zoink results...

I'll try to get some pics posted over the weekend. Gotta convince the wife to test out her new camera.

Far out I know, the burna would be incredible effective when Zoinked and your right I probably will have to mount one.

Haha funny story, I did'nt use to have a camera until last christmas when I had told my mum that my GF wants a new camera for christmas. And alas, this blog was created.

Also thanks!

Haha did you see me do much 2day? Nt really. Just a couple of touches on my Afrika Korps

Missing obvious features, but it's just a test model. And I really like the automatic shotgun I gave him, drilled out the barrel to make it sufficient for multi shot rounds

While probably best representing a shoota boy, I had hopes of making them burna boys with Dakka Trench Gunz, the short ranged weapon could be used as to suppress with templates and is short enough to be used in assault. Not many things could hope to survive a close range shot from such a large bore weapon.

Peace forum.

Put simply, it's a AOBR Big Shoota with a trimmed barrel and new hand.

But to me, He's a Trensh Gunna under Boss Genral Grommal, kommanda of the Sand Korpse Clan.
