I don't think you do. You just rave about how this list is auto dead or how you'd table someone in turn 2 which is utter false. Sure jaws will give monstrous creatures a hard time I do not doubt that and will be out of shadow range. Sure Space Wolves have lots of fire power too but you said you'd kill two monstrous creatures a turn and then changed it to one now you factored in dice rolls etc etc - you don't honestly think I'm going ti deploy forward so you're in jaws range straight away do you? Did you consider I might keep stuff in reserve as welll? There's a lot of factors involved which go straight over you're head, it's easy to say "I'll auto win you because I is the winz" instead of actually seriously thinking abuot it. Yeah all Rhinos have a 5+ cover save or 4+ cover save, how often you think you're going to make those cover saves? I play with more Razorbacks than those amount of Rhinos and they will not make every cover save, you think you can stand 4 S8 shots to do damage once the Hive Guard have hit? Remember, I do know how Mech Angels work and I know how very easy it is to take down armour 11, you will not pass every cover save. I think you're just getting pissy as everyone is slating your Rhino Rush list which only has 5 Rhinos and you're coming back with the usual I'll table you comment instead of taking a lot of things into consideration. Who said I passed every cover save? I'll pass about half the 4+ and about a 3rd the 5+. Who said I'd table you with anything? Just said that your list wouldn't stand a chance against most SW razorback spam lists no matter how you played it. You don't have the speed to get at him without being hit by Jaws at least twice and you got 6 juicy targets for it. BA Razor spam is awesome plays quite differently to SW razor spam. It is a hugely competitive build. But you're looking how your RB spam list functions and over the course of the game how many of your razors get popped and think that applies to a Rhino rush list. It doesn't. To pop that many Rhino you have to be in my face which is exactly where I want you. Sure you could probably make my list better with Honourguard, DC or some other more hitty unit than Assault Marines but I just went for bodies to trust in volume, gives more consistency. Once I'm out of the Rhinos I don't care if you pop them. The issue is can you stop enough of them in 1 turn of shooting if I go second and can you pop all of them and damage my units if I can first? I'm just saying that it is difficult to do so. Even with 18 S8 shots at BS4. Leaf blower would be the best bet if it went first. Obvious this type of list works far better going first than 2nd. A DE list with 30+ DL weapons that could get the drop on me would be another concern (as they can ninja if going 2nd and still have the mobility to largely avoid combat particularly with Sliscus allowing them to DS behind me). Its not perfect and sure there are other builds that work. But this type of list is reliable and difficult to deal with. Your Nid list is about as strong a nid list as you can make and has lots of threats but JotWW just bones it so hard and that is what stops Nids from being a top tier army. Automatically Appended Next Post: Your IG list looks brutal

You was saying how hard it is to pop Rhinos with 4+ and 5+ cover - it's not.
Of course it does. Rhinos are the same as Razorbacks with lower threat, they just have more payload. They are going to get shot at exactly the same. It's not difficult to take out Rhinos, not matter the list, provided you have the right fire power

The difference is that Razorbacks do their damage through out the game Rhinos do their damage in and pretty much only in turn 1 in this type of list. Hence if you don't stop them before my first movement phase I don't care if you stop them at all. THat is the huge and crucial difference. The razorback makes its points by shooting throughout a game. The Rhino does it by delivering the payload into the enemies face on turn 2 and it only needs to move on turn 1 to do so.
I'm not saying the Rhinos are invicible or hard to take down over the course of a game. Just saying that they are hard to take down in 1 shooting phase and nearly impossible to take down in 1 shooting phase and for you still have enough firepower/threats to deal with the contents.

My money is still on my razorspam list
But yeah, the rhino rush BA list is annoying to stop IF it goes first, otherwise, if your opponent has lots of long range AT, most (if not all) of the rhino's will unable to move/destroyed, and will leave the ASM inside with a long walk to your opponents lines. If you want lots of dudes with chainswords and FnP/ FC, play DoA. Your opponent CANT stop you from getting to his lines, and you will ALWAYS get first shot.

Yeah DoA Angels works well too. But then you haven't seen my luck with reserve rolls :p ...
Yeah either the SW Razor spam (though your posted list is not my favourite of your builds for SWs) or Mercer's IG list look the strongest so far.

I've been trying out different swolf razorspam lists, and I've found that the list that I put up with 2 thunderlords works quite well. Its got the firepower to dominate most armies at range, and the lords are a huge help in clearing out small infantry squads. It takes 15 ap1-3 wounds to kill 5 gone to ground marines, which is pretty much all of my firepower
With the lords around, I can just let them eat up the small squads that spill out of transports, which the long fangs and razors have no problem breaking. Plus the the lords can go and contest objectives easily, which nothing else in the army can really do, everything just wants to sit back and shoot.
I've been playing around with daemons now for a change of pace while I wait for the IG stand-in models I ordered to arrive (they're awesome BTW, look kind of like the bad guys in killzone 2, and are only 16£ for 18 men, which is nice)

Space Wolves....a general Layout of what it would have.
HQ:Canis Wolfborn. I think you can add extra wolves with him too so do that
HQ:Wolf Lord on a wolf mount with Saga of the bear, TH/SS and Wolftooth Necklace
Elites: Iron Priests, Make around 1-2 full troops of these guys, with wolves accompany them as well.
Elites:Wolf Guard Battle Leaders - Same above, Give them wolf claws, storm shields and put them on a wolf mount with extra wolves attached
Troops 1-4 - Fenrisian wolves
Troops 5 and 6 - Grey Hunters in Rhino with Flamers
Fast Attacks: As many Thunder Wolf Calvary as you can fit in. Do it cheap or expensive it does not matter.
A True Space Wolf List
This is what I hope to play with some day. I call it the Space Puppy Farm List. Its what happens when my enemies Wander onto the Terrain where I raise and Make the Fenrisian Wolves for all of the space wolves.

Oops, forgot about something.
I suppose it may be a good idea to set a limit of only one list allowed to be entered. You are welcome to post as many lists as you like, however I must ask that if you do so, that you edit your FIRST POST in this thread with your chosen list, and please designate that it is the chosen list.
These are some nasty lists..........but remember, please that most games are objective based. So 2 troop lists probably won't do so well

Eh? Manticores deploy in the middle so outflanks cannot reach them and got Chimeras so mobile? So why would it have problem with outflanking units and why would Vendettas need to be sacrificed for?

A lot of people like the 2x manticore 2x hyrda setup, I'm personally leaning towards triple manticores with the IG army I'm building now. 3+ Vendettas are regularly used in tournaments though, AFAIK.

I'm leaning toward this being the superior build, as an answer to some of the more skimmer-heavy coversave-based armies ( DE, Eldar, even Storm Ravens...)

Neither do any of the victory conditions when you wipe out your opponent. Whats your point?
Having more KPs than your opponent doesn't mean you'll wipe them out.

The problem with going purely with a list like mercer's is that it lacks suppression fire. S6 multilasers are ok, but still leave you lacking. This might not be a problem, but I think the reason we don't see lists like mercer's in tournaments is that people opt to take suppression fire, like in the form of hydras or heavy weapon teams.
