Why do people pick all these silly weapons? Do you guys often find yourselves in situations where you need to gratuitously murder lotsa people? A Gauss Flayer is deadly and practical in everday life! Surrender your flesh to the machine!

Why, yes, I *do* often find myself in situations where wanton death is really the only appropriate solution. I work in tech support and I live in Seattle, and thus have to deal with Seattle grid-lock traffic...

I'd get a Melta-Gun. It could help loads with chores around the house! And just because you have a super kewl blasta, doesn't give you liscense to go out and kill people. Unless your just waiting for the right firearm to come along....?

When all you have is a Melta, every problem starts to look like something that would be solved by being melted into slag.

So upscale to a rail rifle - Score one for electromagnetic propelled items! No recoil and far better damage!

Rail Rifles have massive recoil!

Edit: I'm thinking of Rail guns . Oh well. They must have some recoil.

I'd say laspistol. Or if it may cost some more: Bolt pistol. Or if I go expensive: Hand flamer. Or if I may go very expensive: Inferno pistol!
If possible I would like to dual-wield them. Hehe, that going to be very nice!

I'm a pacifist, so it has to be something from the Ork codex. Everything's a warning shot.

Does a psychic power count as a weapon? I'd love to turn someone into a squiq, a la Zogwart.

Not sure. Lost track a while ago.

Heretics, all of you! How dare you defile such a thread with your wishes of xeno technology?! Excomunicate Traitoris, all of you!

Your only form of repentence shall be to use your trusty lasgun issued to you by your Guard Regiment armoury! If not, Exterminatus awaits your world!

Okay, inquisition 'roid rage is over now. Lasgun all the way! Durable, reliable, rechargable ammunition, plus it is more powerful than many standard weapons we have on Earth now.

Depends Really -

Ranged: Lasgun or Bolt Pistol, MAYBE a Melta gun. Possibly a Tau Pulse Rifle, i have a nose, so i could aim alot better .

Melee: Realisticly, based on my own skills, a power sword. If i wasn't as squishy as eldar, a Chainfist....that will keep the guard from running .

Air rifles, slingshots and hand-thrown potatos are not exactly "standard weapons".

And the simple lasgun is as powerful as an assault rifle. or rather their version of one.
If ammo wasn't a concern I'd go with the classic storm bolter. Otherwise, Eldar or Tau plasma pistol. still don't need to reload, can be hidden, and will blast through just about anything the modern day world can throw at me.

I'd go with a servo-harness (the whole harness; need that damn fusion reactor to power the plasma pistol and flamer and servos and stuff...)

does a Magos Militant of the Myrmidon Order count as a weapon? lol

In all seriousness, a Pariah Warscythe.

Ummm...somewhere...

There are so many to choose from, I mean, who wouldn't want a bolter for crying out loud! Yet in the hands of a human it would be so impracticable...in that case I must say the power sword is just so epic :p screw chain swords from mowing the lawn

Actually, it's considerably different, both in affects and also in flexibility. It has single-shot, semi-auto and full-auto settings, as well as power settings that range from burning a hole in power armor to just knocking someone over.

However, to ensure maximum destruction of those Pigeons you know you want to shoot, I advise over-charging your Lasgun.

It's stats. Not it's real life application. Autoguns are meant to represent assault rifles, 24" Str3 AP- Rapid Fire. Carbon copy stats of a lasgun. Also, many modern assault rifles have single shot, semi-auto and full-auto settings. As to the power settings, that's news to me. The information I'm going on only comes for 40K and Necromunda rulebooks.

Force weapon with the psychic ability to use it. I hate it when my attacks don't kill things outright without the use of my mind.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.
