There is very little to go off of. If I could get a bit more on what/were you are wanting to go I can give some input. If that is all you have I will gladly send you my work on a game I will never be able to get off the ground. Your basic list on the forum could handle what I have done for my game easily.


What is really funny is my game had Leviathans as the largest combat unit also.

Having read the blurb, I saw that once pre-orders close, orders will continue to go through at the retail rate. Will we know before going through the purchase process if all 50 pre-order slots have been filled? Is there any way that you could put up some sort of ticker that counts down the available slots? Some of us can do $306 but may be thrown off if the bill is suddenly $375.

As promised...order placed! Hope it's not the full 90 days. Now bring on the little guys and arm upgrades!

Gah! I'm really having to manage some self-control over this one. The only thing keeping me from pre-ordering is knowing that I'm not a good enough hobbyist to really manage with all those parts. Yes, that's right. Mark's awesome kits can overcome even the fear of Mrs. Manchu.

As always (and I mean no disrespect), the simple answer is "If you don't agree with the price, don't buy it."

If that's the case I'd never buy a damned thing from anyone, anywhere, ever!

I'd love to get one of these but just wouldn't be able to afford it (note that this does NOT mean that I dont thin they're fair value, I'm just always skint!) Out of curiosity could you use these in a GW game (officially?) or are they for a different game system entirely? Forgive the naivety...

Damn, that's pretty fast... I hope there are still slots open this weekend/beginning of next week. I've got a large sum of cash coming to me, but it may be a few days before it arrives in the mail... Here's hoping for tomorrow!!!

As of this morning, we are at 23 slots filled. I would expect it to slow down, from here on out. I suspect that the first day bump was from those who have been patiently waiting for the sales to open. Time will tell....

Wow, doubling every day . I do imagine that that's from people who were waiting- it was that way with the manticore from Raging Heroes, and that dragon (that's still "in the works" a bit ) from Heresy.

Hopefully you can keep the schedule for getting the pre-orders shipped (unlike the two above, even though the models are excellent), even if it's on the longer end of the estimate. Us gamers get all fidgety when we're waiting for our toys and they're late

We are currently at 30 slots filled. Orders are slowing... as expected... We will likely see one more bump from payday 1st through the 4th of May then back to a slower rate.

Working as fast as I can on the files. Once these are done it will need to go out to print, then the benching process to get the masters cleaned up and ready for molds, then off to the mold maker. Even if I had the files done today, and the caster jumped right on the mold process it would still be 30-45 days (best case scenerio). Likely, we are 60-90 days away form first production.

That model is awesome! That is what the Citadel Grey Knight Dreadknights should have looked like. Instead you might as well slap Siqourney Weaver in the Dreadknight and paint it yellow.

I agree completely, as do many others. Thats why it seems the 15mm scale Leviathans will sell very well. Picture the Crusader at around 4.5-5 inches tall instead of 8.5, thats what the 15mm will be.

Probably a good idea. I would imagine it assembles very similarly to the Mortis, so people could use that as a basic guide. The pictures should be enough to figure out the extra armor locations. Still might not be a bad idea to do a set of directions...

8.5 inches to the top of the shoulders, 9.5 to the top of the coolant stacks (on the back of the model)...a Warhound is 10.5 inches when posed at its tallest. So they are very close in size.

Heres another thing to consider...cost.

I paid $392 US (shipping included) for a Crusader with 2 extra mauler claws. That means I have 4 weapon options that are swappable, allowing me to customize my weapon load for the game Im playing.

Heres a breakdown the basic kit compared to a Warhound (in USD)

Crusader
main body, legs
1 Vulkan cannon arm (included in kit)
1 Executioner blade arm (included in kit)
$306 preorder price,
$375 regular retail

Kit notes: 143 pieces, highly poseable, arm/weapon options are swappable, allowing for changes between games.

Warhound
main body, legs $400
arms $59 each
total $518

Kit notes: limited pose options, weapons are fixed, no changes between games. Different weapon loads require either magnetizing kit or buying several to represent different loads. .

As you can see the Leviathans offer a great value compared to the FW stuff. I would expect the quality would be better than the FW stuff, Dreamforge (NoseGoblin) held the release of the the kits until quality was top notch. We all know the mixed bag you get from FW.

Looks good (As a Nurgle player I prefer the Mortis though) seems like a reasonable price, I just dont have the time to put together a kit that large and intricate, even if it would be a great test of my new airbrushes.

will keep a lookout for the less poseable and smaller versions though.

Well count 2 more ordered. I was talking with my wife and showed her the Leviathans and she ordered one of each of them for me just because. I love my sweetie, we spoil each other so.
