I hit lumps of wood with a piece of sharp metal and a mallet until they look pretty enough for people to pay me for them.

I used to make cosplay, but the cost of material was becoming more expensive than the costumes themselves, and it seems people would rather pay $60 for a naruto akatsuki robe that's machine made and cheap quality than $80 for a hand-made, one of a kind costume that'll last for years.

So, now, I work at a hastings.

In all seriousness, I've got a suggestion. At 15 I found pretty steady work and a steady source of income by doing yard work for neighbors...ask around in your neighborhood and ask if there's any yard work or odd jobs you can do. Some old ladies, guys with arthritis etc often need somebody to weed or pick up sticks or w/e. Just let them know up front what you charge- I charged ten bucks an hour, that's what the first person offered to pay me so I went from there. Great pay, especially since you don't have to pay taxes. Just remember to use your manners, and be friendly and cheery, because older folks love that gak. And stay busy working- the old man down the street won't want to see you outside slacking off.

My parents give me money when I get good grades. I also get money when I do some outdoor work. Christmas and birthdays are good profit too.

For something like this, just knock up a flier on yoour PC, introducing yourself, offering your rates, and what you're happy to do. Don't forget to put your house telephone number on it, and boom you've got a shoe in.

There is none.

I still live with my parents, and as of the present and unemployed, so yeah, backcuts from them for fixing crap when it breaks, and selling the odd plasticard tank at my local wargames club. Being a cheapskate helps though, today was the first time in months that I actually bought anything miniature related- my FLGS's bothered to buy in some Perry Twin's minis, amd I'v been looking for some wannabe turk minis for my guard conscripts. Anyhow, that box of Zouaves (£16 for 42 minis, glue and a pot of primer, not including 10% discount! ^^) was the last of the christmas and birthday money that I've been surviving off of for a while, so I guess its job hunting time- I predict grease.

I am both selfish and chaotic. I value self-gratification and control; I want to have things my way, preferably now. At best, I'm entertaining and surprising; at worst, I'm hedonistic and violent.
