@ - San76 - Ok that is pretty bad, I guess my game suckiness comes from my uncanny mutant ability to roll ones in combat and only roll sixs for leaderhsip tests.

Excellent! You've really nailed the yellow, it's the most authentic and realistic I think I've seen for Imperial Fists. Love that chaplain the black has been really well done too, and I like the sort of glow from the jump pack. Top notch stuff.

Love your Imperial Fist. Yellow can be a paint to work with but you got that down. Love your color scheme on the assault squad. Keep up the great work.

@Young_Logan - im definitely bringing in some vehicles...just building up to it. in fact, last night i stopped by my local store and picked up a Land Raider Crusader/Redeemer. the box is sitting here, taunting me....i have no idea which build to go for though...

in the meantime i finished another terminator today so i thought i would put some pics up.

Terminator is looking great. The green power claws work well with the yellow armor and the hazard strips on the right hand blends in well. Keep up the good work!

just got my airbrush (an Iwata CS) and am hoping that guy is the last base coated by hand. any tips you might have on airbrushing gratefully received

Just get lots of practice. Test out a bit on sprues or bad models to make sure you're comfortable with the pressure and paint mix. Takes awhile to get that right and also get used to pointing and shooting. Good luck and post pics.

OK, so i got a chance to use my airbrush for the first time and i love it.

at the moment i'm using it very basically, base coating the yellow for the Fists. it does this amazingly imo. two more termies to go and my squad is finished. then...Lysander!

Great work on the yellow! It can be quite tricky I'm loving the hazard stripes, btw. I don't think I've seen them on IFs before, but they work really well.

Awesome work if it was my choice for your land raider if you dont want to mag i'd go redeemer as they suit the siege expert fluff as well as the kick ass in games and you can put in your termies or if you want are larger capacity for termies plus lysander go crusader. Loving work keep it up and cant wait to see ur finished assault squad and whatever you do with ur land raider.

Definitely a good looking yellow. Also the red on the sternguards gives a very good contrast to it.

The pic images look great. I can't wait to see what your Lysander ends up looking like.

Hey everyone.

been ages since ive been able to post an update but should be more frequent now. havent got to my landraider (still working up the skills for that beast) but have been working on a dread (pics soon) as well as various troopers.

tonight i finished the sergeant for my Chaplains bodyguard. I sprayed him with dullcote (no clear varnish) and that stuff is pretty amazing; even with the harsh direct lighting i have here there isnt too much reflection. i shudder to think what the chemicals are that make that work.

anyways, as always i would love to hear your thoughts.

I like it, looks almost like it belongs in the Deathwatch. Love the engine lighting effect, very simple not too elaborate but it gets the job done in a nice crisp and clean way.

@molotovsoda - Haha I guess they do look a bit like nyc cabs. Just wanted a few troops a bit different to the all encompassing yellow of IF .

I know, I was going to do up a kill team of IF marines but my girlfriend ruined it for me when she sat down and goes..."so...futuristic taxi drivers?" and I can never unsee it...

How did you paint your yellows? They look very clean and crisp.
