Ok I just need some ideas/suggestion...I'm now working on the interior of the 2 big houses....I can't decide how to make the floors...they can be in moquet, parquet or simply in concrete...I'm nearly convinced to make the parquet, it will become something like this:
but the moquet is cool too
Well, where there will be the staircase I'm going to make the floor covered by tiles...
What do you think??Any ideas??

Awesome! Avsolutely awesome PERFECTION of good, solid, modeling techniques! I know, I have carved a LOT of brick into foam in my day!
It is perfect the way it is, but have you considered adding some architectural greeblies before you commit to paint? Ironwork, maybe some stonework decorations, skulls, gothic stuff? I'm not talking about festooning the thing with skulls or anything, but just small touches?
I only mention this because I KNOW that You know that since you put all this work into it so far, that this is your baby, and that you are asking yourself "is it done?" This is always the difficult point in a build for me, do I go big, or go home as-is?
Making foam game-resistant is super-easy with a coating of mixed PVA and paint. I do that as my primer/sealer coat al l the time with foam and it never gets dinged. I don't think there is any need for a special product like Marty mentioned.
lol, I sound like my grandfather when I was explaining to him the powder-coating process for metal (he has built scale working steam engines), and I was explaining how he could get the best finish on his metalwork.
" bah, I don't believe in paying money for crap like that"
Automatically Appended Next Post:
Parquet would look absolutely fantastic, but you'd have to be a helluva lot more precise with the scribing methinks.
Have you considered ceramic-like tile (plasticard squares) on the interior floors? making the busted tiles is easy and gives a great effect when it is all done.
But if you are set on wooden floors, I have had some success with thin balsa sheet scribed (super easy to do with a scratch awl or nail in a pin vice)
and by using a stain marker on wooden stir sticks
These are in 20mm, WW2 and Wild West respectively but the same modeling techniques apply.
Sorry, your project has got me excited man

Please, really please don't say sorry, 'cause I estimate you, I estimate your work and your suggestion too....you give me some absolutely fantastic ideas and I want to make a mix of them XD
Just to explain: there are 6 apartements in each "half house" so a total of 12 apartements...my first idea was to divide each apartement in 3 rooms: the living room, the bed room, and the bath room, and obviously there should be 2 or 3 different types of floors, one for each room...due to gaming needs, the bathroom don't fit in the space I have, cause the wall that divide the bedroom and the bathroom could make a problem for reaching the windows at his opposite side(there's no place for the hand)...so, one fllor type less, to to make...with your suggestion, the living room should have a tile covered floor, because there were a kitchen in the same room, and for the bedroom, a parquet floor should be fantastic
what do you think?? I really appreciate your help and suggestion 'cause remember, it's my first time making terrain
P.S. to make the tiles do I have to cut every tile in small sqares and then put them together, or just carve the plasticard sheets?

Holy Crap!! This is your first!?! WOW!
I really mean it when I say you are GOOD bro! That is some seriously amazing stuff for your first terrain!
The different floors are a great idea! Go for it! Just remember that if the ceiling is bombed out to reflect that with damaged floor where it has fallen in.
If you were making this as a diorama, only for show, then you should make the rubble as realistic as possible, but since it is for gaming, you HAVE to trade off some realism for playability, you HAVE to be able to not only move miniatures around, but also get your hand inside to do so- I have made this mistake before and it kind of sucks, if you can't get your hand inside to move minis you won't bother using it, and it'll be nothing but a good-looking LOS blocker.
For the 20mm Stalingrad I did as my first Commission set, the miniatures are smaller, and mounted on pennies for bases but your hands stay the same size, so this was a bigger challenge than working in 40k Heroic scale. Because of this you can basically only fit one mini in a window, so the terrain had to have a house rule stating that "if a miniature is visible in a window at all, he is considered in-cover and you measure his firing distance from the window sill (not the miniature base as normal because it was impossible to do at this scale). This simplified firing from the windows a lot.

I Think that in the half houses there should be some small scale remnants of personal items, like couches and stuff. But they have to be gothic
Also maybe the owners all have different wall papers and such to distinguish the houses?

Damaged sections of walls and ceilings with exposed lath is also cool, and easy to do, especially with foamcore
just tear some of the card off and scribe the lath boards into the exposed foam.

If I am not mistaken you haven't made a factory yet. It would be very cool to have something like this:

Cool idea!!
But now I'm working on another module of the tarrain....I was thinking about a Pub, or a Strip club
give me a minute to put a shots to have an idea... Automatically Appended Next Post: Here's the module...there's not a lot of space to place a building...I need something small and particular...I though a Pub was the solution

Will you be making the roof flat or will it be conical?

LOl, no, it is what everything looked like before the invention of drywall dude
Lath boards were nailed to studs or rafters, and then plaster was smeared over it, and in-between the cracks. Google "Wattle and Daub", that might be the medieval technique you are looking for. But it doesn't matter really, people used whatever material was available in their part of the world, and there was no single technique used everywhere.
