Only wish I had managed to pick up a Battle Company back then. Still wish they'd sell those as boxes, I'd buy one in a heart beat.

I agree. These Troop + Transport deals, the BC, and those Apocalypse deals (back during the Apoc launch) were great ways for people to get a lot for reasonable prices. That's what separates GW from the other companies: same prices per model, but need a lot more models. Sadly, they offer few ways to get into a system or an army for a reasonable cost. They need more permanent solutions like these instead of just one-time deals.

Not a problem, I have it on good authority that Blood Angels will turn to Chaos in 6th edition.

However I do prefer all my models to look roughly the same and already own a number of the Space Marine Tacitcal Squads ... so dont know if aesthetically it would be groovy.

These are out in the wild, just came back from my FLGS who had one of each.

My FLGS had one each of for sale today, super-sad, nobody cared about them or the fact that 40k turned 25, they all played Heroclix and Magic instead.

My local shop had these in as well today. I grabbed a chaos and my friend got the ork box.

Those Apoc deals where awsome. The shear number of kits they put out where amazing. I got the Tau army box and the one that had like 9 suits and 6 stealth suits and my Tau army was rather complete except for getting some more 'fish's.

They probably didn't know. It's not as if GW made a big deal about it in their monthly magazine - they chose to promote Lord of the Rings.

Okay, so, I apologize if this has been covered, but are these a limited deal?

Just need to know if I need to rush out and snag the ork trukk set, or if I can wait a while to do so.

I don't think anyone has said how long this deal will last. And you will have to rely on your FLGS to order them since they appear to be trade accounts only (not in GW stores or the online shop). I haven't seen them offered on the major online vendors sites either (probably due to a limit on the amount each FLGS can order) and they haven't hit Ebay yet.

Actually, the store had a bit of promoting going on in the month leading up to all this, but when a FLGS only gets four transport deal boxes and two limited edition Rogue Trader beakies, yay? Things would've gone soo much better if the store also got those cheap trinkets to sell for seven times the regular price.

Going to look in the Toymaster next time I'm there, but I doubt he has any, he updates his stock only every few months.

I was at a two different FLGS saturday and Sunday both had them I saw them on the shelves when I walked in, but both were gone by the end of the day.

Does anyone know if these are being distributed by online channels at all? I can't seem to find mention of them anywhere.

I haven't seen an online. I haven't seen any on the GW site. Though I am old and my eyes aren't too sharp...

The Orks, IG and CSM ones is an awesome, the SM one is a bit odd (why not a rhino?). My FLGS has them atm.

Sunday afternoon I saw a Trukk, a DropPod, and three others at my FLGS. This appears to be a Indy special though, and Indy's aren't allowed to sell online.

I wish they kept this idea and added 10 Catachans w/ Chimera. Thanks for posting this though.

My FLGS has some if anyone's interested in me being a middle man.

Anyone know any Australian FLGS which stock these? Would be a great chance to bulk out my CSM force.

giftsforgeeks.com had them available earlier today, at a discount off RRP, but the likes of Darksphere are already a similar price due to a slightly heavier discount already.

Snatched up a CSM box last Saturday, thinking about going back just to see if there might be one more for me to grab. Good Deal.

If you dont see any, the store owner/manager should still be able to get them in.

The manager at my local shop told me if I wanted any more he could still order them as of last weekend.
