The Cyclone Missile Launcher Terminator's face...oh god.

I almost want to get that model just for the head, purely in order to sculpt a wee man-bun on it. The question then is - which is the most hipster chapter?

I need to acquire plastic Skavenslaves, can you help?
I have a blog now, evidently. Featuring the Alternative Mordheim Model Megalist.

"The language of modern British politics is meant to sound benign. But words do not mean what they seem to mean. 'Reform' actually means 'cut' or 'end'. 'Flexibility' really means 'exploit'. 'Prudence' really means 'don't invest'. And 'efficient'? That means whatever you want it to mean, usually 'cut'. All really mean 'keep wages low for the masses, taxes low for the rich, profits high for the corporations, and accept the decline in public services and amenities this will cause'." - Robin McAlpine from Common Weal

That would be "the Emperor's Baristas", but you probably haven't heard of them...

Is the Cyclone Termi actually smaller, or is that just a wonky scaling issue?

It's just the image scaling. If you look at the other pic (with the Japanese labels) on HLJ they're all the same size.

2 row, 1st left reminds me of the old dinky metal SM captain in terminator armour. Just no be-skulled scabbard this time.

Those are cool. Where's the standard bearer guy they previewed though?

You probably haven't heard of them. They're not mainstream.

I got one of these today and have to say they are quite nice. Mine is Brother Phaello but thought I'd put up some scale shots for anyone that is interested.

While the series one heads can be used on any space marine model the bare heads on these are flat on the back and designed to plug into the neck piece.

Did you drill out the barrels on the stormbolter or did they come that way? If the latter, that's interesting as the full kits rarely if ever get that treatment.

Those aren't drill holes, they're sprue connection points.

It would be handy if they are centered and could work as guides for where to drill. My stormbolter barrels are always lopsided...

Ah, well, at least they work well as a guide! Mine are typically lopsided as well.

So they all come with helmets. I like the Cyclone and the Standard Bearer guy (he comes in a paint set).

Wonder what the 'mystery' mini is, other than a guy with a Combi-Melta.

I like that a lot, am wondering what the price point on series 1 (and these) will be when they hit the UK?

Where did you see that? I can't see it on the HLJ site. It only shows the series 1 and 2 sets.

Depending on shipping, the Terminators aren't a bad price. 6 "unique" termies for at least a 1/3 less then the cheapest regular terminator squad.

Also, a question regarding the series 1 set.
It says you get 24 models. There are 12 different sculpts + the two "secret" guys + the captain with power sword.
Do you get the captain in the big pack? Are the extra models just random double ups?

Hey another space marine captain with a powerfist. At least it's not raised in the air for the 10th time.

Glad I have both a Japanese and US address, time to order a set.

That's actually one of the cooler Captains I think they've done.

Is it that difficult for GW?

Make models, sell models.

You also have to make boxes, instructions, promotional stuff for the shelves, etc.

They may well have had to get the Japanese partner company (Max Factory) to agree to it depending on how the original contacts for the project were written as they weren't 'just' a contractor for GW as they has their name on the product too

Could have been just talking, could have been cash, could have been an agreemement to do more stuff together in the future

This.

If it’s a geographic exclusive, your distributor would want to maintain that exclusivity.

And if you want to expand it, but keep the same distributor partner, you want to get the best possible deal yourself.

None of that is a day’s work.

I hadn't considered that. I was more speculating on something someone else (I think on an FB group post) has said about them being licence in Japan only, which seemed odd to me.

But the internet told me GW would never release any normal space marines again

I like the new box they have done for the worldwide release, its more attractive than the Japan one.
