Logically, the kits would be slightly less expensive, as they wouldn't have to eat the shipping on replacement parts. Of course, i'd guess the rate of defective product that gets replacement requests put in is less than 100%... Some people get something that's defective and if they're going to be reworking it anyway just don't care.

GW does a great job with their customer service for product problems. Forgeworld, from what I hear, less so. Still, both groups would probably rather ship the right products without defects as that's the best policy, even if GW is pretty good at fixing mistakes when they occur.
