Rubbish - everyone's got room for 'non-Nazi' females in their lives - just ask Max Mosley

Back on topic - I look forward to seeing some actual sculpts and renderings. Personally I think it's a great idea to intince people into two sets of "non-Guard" females, especially if one looks like the Death Korps

Nazi babes, not orks, what do you make of that Kroot

I like the other faction previewed much better, personally.

I typically appreciate Raging Heroes' completely over the top style, but I'm not into this one at all. The breastplate just kills it for me. The damn thing would have to literally be built onto her.

This will be interesting to follow. I think they could be able to take their KS quite high if they play it right.

I'm interested in the overall performance of all three, as they have the potential to put the 'female armies don't sell' thing to bed.

RH are going to hurt me this year though, will be backing the Guard and Dark Elves without any doubts, and possibly the not-sisters as well. My poor wallet.

Given the awful cartoonish style of the latest GW releases I am really thrilled by the RH IG and DE KS.

IMHO: Their rank and file is every bit as good as GWs characters...

Is there any way of getting these ladies with a modern weapons option, or no option for weapons and let me put my own on them?

as a second question- how many total of the girls are we expecting to see?

At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money.

The Dark Elf KS will only feature fantasy weapons - and the IG KS will only feature SciFi weapons.

>or no option for weapons and let me put my own on them?

Snipping away the weapons and replacing with new ones is normally not hard - but RH have a history of making very delicate arms and small hands so expect some trouble.

>as a second question- how many total of the girls are we expecting to see?

Judging from previous releases I would say 10 different poses for each type of infantry.
RH do their modeling by computer (but is way better at it than GW) and tend to make a few extra poses (reusing mirrored parts from other minis) - as they understand that this will sell more sets.

It's almost March, and it's Raging Heroes. No chance they run 3 complete Kickstarters to fulfilment in 9 months. Hopefully they look at some other campaigns that went back to the till before finishing fulfilment to see what can happen there.

Because we're already at that slightly awkward position explaining a full army scantily clad girls. Let's not make it worse <_<;

On a separate note, I will take back my statement on not being impressed with the blood vestals. A guy brought into my FLGS a well painted unit of the girls and made them look great. The details are a bit shallow IMO, but in the hand of a good painter (as Kendoak demonstrated too), they look great. Now looking forward to the Elf release. Am curious as how they will stagger the three KS. I would shoot to get the DE one out first and get those figures to marked as soon as possible because there they are "competing" with GW directly on these. They already got burned with their cyberwolf figures by GW. But unless GW does a full Jes Goodwin/Juan Diaz Dark Elf recreation, I doubt what GW puts out would be a serious threat to RH most likely.

As a RH fan, I just hope they upscale their figures to the same scale as GW's figures. The Sci-Fi Vestals were actually the right scale for proper cross-compatibility.

Well, answering to your special meme, Raging Heroes posted this on 6th February:
How compatible in size will they be to other companies products to fit in with armies already owned. Now I have both fantasy and Sci-Fi blood vestals and they are very different in scale, so will they continue as they are or will the dark elves be separate to the vestals?

This is a really tricky question.
We realized that, for some games, the Fantasy Blood Vestals would feel just a tad small/petite. However, we felt that it fitted well this particular unit of delicate yet deadly female warriors.
For the upcoming Dark Elves releases, we will probably up their size and bulk a little bit, since everybody in the industry is slowly migrating to 32mm as opposed to the traditional 28mm found in Fantasy.
This is less a concern for the Sci-fi Blood Vestals, which are already pretty much all in 32mm, hence their larger size. However, we must also add that what most people seem to like in Raging Heroes minis (grace, nice proportions, feminine look, etc.) is nearly impossible to make in old-school-style 28mm scale, because, even if you may not realize it, the proportions are so distorted and squat and so, hardly suitable for female characters.

Will the sisters and the rambettes be to the same scale as your scifi vestals?

For now, they are planned to be of the same size and scale as the Kurganova sisters, which is very slightly smaller than the SF Blood Vestals. We chose this size because, from what we could see, this was the best for most games / armies for these particular minis.

It's hardly a "special" meme when people are buying them as proxies for GW troops and armies - so what size would you expect them to be? Their proportion argument seems a little ...confused anyway, since they use computer renders and all it would take would be to scale the exact same sculpts up a little. (as in the Sci-Fi vestals). Might be an ESL thing because it doesn't really make sense.

It is a meme when you make 20 "RG Vestals are tiny" posts in the same thread. And I think, RG learned their lesson.

Omadon's Realm

I must confess when I saw the commissar sisters next to GW imperial guard, I was disappointed at the total scale difference. I understand they would look ridiculous the exact same scale as the guard, but something scaled just a bit slender of the witch elves would have worked well enough.

Updates regarding the KS('s) and a new Rambette. The minis in the TGG will be splitted, characters metal, troops and vehicles plastic. Also they are still unsure about the start date for the KS due "administrative delays". Oh and a side note - they're working on a game with rules and stuff like that.

aka, Glass Houses. Get over it.

And yeah, the Vestals and the not-Daemonettes, and the Sisters were all disappointingly tiny. The Sci-Fi Vestals were much better. I've bought them all and all of them are lovely sculpts, with just the size issue being really the only flaw. Otherwise they are excellent figures in every way. Kudos to RH for slowly learning that proxies for GW figures should probably be the same size as the GW figures they're standing in for in the first place.

Azazel, I already tried mentioning this to you, but I'll try one more time. Kroot is making a valid point and has, by and large, stopped posting about nazi orks. He mentions it sometimes, but it's funny, or as he said, a meme.

However, you made the exact same retort defending your harping on the size of RH models in August of last year.

This should demonstrate that yes, you do make the same point over and over... you even come up with the same justifcation for why you do!

I edited this to make it more constructive, because I actually like your posts, and think your points are often valid- I just wish you wouldn't "beat a dead horse" as we say over here, after making the point. The point stands on it's own! In this case, the size of the miniatures. They've realized they're small, and they've addressed it... there are other things to talk about
