Subject: -Crisp & Grey- A NZ blog (Update 2nd October - 5 x CC Scouts WIP 8 and completed)
Those turned out really nice! You really should drill out your gun barrels though, or at least put a black dot on the end if you're like me and can't center the holes consistently.
My armies (re-counted and updated on 11/1/23, including modeled wargear options):
Dark Angels: ~15000 Astra Militarum: ~1200 | Adeptus Custodes: ~1900 | Imperial Knights: ~2000 | Sisters of Battle: ~3500 | Leagues of Votann: ~1200 | Tyranids: ~2600 | Stormcast Eternals: ~5000

@LDP - the combination of armor + cloth and (lets be honest) silly heads I can confirm these were a means to an end.
@Graven - Thanks boss!
@Private Benjamin - Thank you
@Zerg - Good point well raised, I'll be fixing that up!
Update: So been slowly working on a chaplain, pretty much done just need to finish its base
Base colours
Washes
Greys and bone started
Reds and metals done

A Chaplain is the perfect model for you, Knightley. There was never a more appropriate model to put squiggles on.

@Cain - Thanks, I do feel like I could blend it better, but then I would have to go back to every other model with a skull and redo it all.....
@Zerg - Hahah very true, chaplains do need more than the regular marine
@Gits - Cheers!
Update: Chaplain done and some regular marines underway!
Front
Rear
Side
And marines WIP 2,3,4 and 5

@IceAngel it says Honor, if I'm reading right. Still a decent chaplain name but one that also fits the stereotype of iconic marine scriptures.
He looks really good Knightley! Somehow your paintwork has brought out some posture from that old metal which I haven't really seen before. He's truly been revived and given new life!
@Graven - Chaplains aren't known for being bunny huggers right. although its probably an untapped market.
@Gits - Thank you!
@Ice - Technically it was supposed to be Honor, but you know what... his name is Monor now!
@LDP - Cheers buddy
@Cam - I have to wonder if the sculpting team at GW just happened to have nightmares about that witch before the got the job to design the chaplain? certainly seems so
@IGtR= - You're far to kind sir!
Update: So I've been busy...
Edge highlighting being applied
Reds and Metals done
And all Marines done
For the Predator
Sponsons and gubbins
Chassis
Shading and edge highlighting done
Colours blocked in and washed
Chassis done as a Rhino
And as a Predator
All the Bits

Really digging your paint scheme, and the paint job is nice and clean. Also cool to see those Scouts with Scion heads work so well, I'm going to do the same for my Scouts when I eventually get to them..
Interesting to see a Baal Predator in a scheme other than Blood Angels. It looks good all gray and squiggly.

@mcmattila - Thanks for the kind words, I also borrowed the idea from someone else, perhaps you'll inspire someone else to do the same thing?
@Graven - Cheers bud
@Zerg - I know right, I figured I might get some flak for raiding the BA's amoury, perhaps when it hits the field I will
