cheap objective secured units are never useless. I can get 3 squads of grots almost for 100. Thats good board coverage.

Searchlights and smoke launchers. Just... why.

Searchlights: They work both ways. Guess you like getting shot at! And how many people actually use nightfight?
Smoke Launchers: You can't move... you can't shoot. What exactly is it that the 5+ cover save *might* save us until next round for? What is the plan? And just to salt the wound, why is it one use only? How is it possible that someone thought it was so powerful that we might want to keep using it? It would have a *slight* situational use if it was an area around the vehicle, and it would justify the 1 use if it was +2 to your existing cover save instead of 5+ cover save. As it is, does anyone have a usecase for it?

You can still move in the movement phase with Smokes.

Most useless 100 points I can spend in the SM Codex are double plasma pistol armed foot assault marines.

100pts to waste, Stock Dreadnought without its DP being forced to slowly march its metal ass across the board.

Could there be a free-er killpoint?

I totally have never run dual-wielding assault marines for giggles in game before... honest...

Right you are. For some reason I thought you had to be stationary. Oh well, still not gonna pop a smoke instead of running on a walker, or in the dunecrawlers case, FIRING EVERYTHING.

IG Armored Sentinels with lascannons! I actually fielded 3 sentinels with lascannons my last game. For 2 rounds all 3 missed, then 2 of them get destroyed, and the third round the last sentinel hits but rolls 1 to wound. Complete waste of points. And by the way, the 2 didn't die to enemy fire, they died to an enemy super heavy blowing up, so they didn't even soak up any enemy fire!

Play for nightfighting and second turn. Illuminating your own vehicles causes no problems if the next turn isn't going to use the night fighting rule. Secondly you can use cheap/disposable vehicles to put a -1 cover save on juicy targets for your bigger guns to hit. It's like a ghetto marker light!

I should elaborate for those who aren't familiar with Orks.

Stick Bomb Chuckas give any troops assaulting from that vehicle assault grenades for that turn, meaning the enemy doesn't benefit from being in cover. Problem? Well all Orks come standard with Stick Bombs so.....

Cybork on a painboy. Cybork grants the user a 6+fnp (because Feth Orks) and a Painboy gives himself and his entire unit a 5+ fnp, they do not stack. Further irony (or horrible sadness if your an ork player hoping our codex wouldn't be fething useless) Our named character that is a Painboy, Mad Dok Grotsnik comes with a Cybork Body already.....

Ork vehicle upgrades too, stikkbomb chucka, wrecking ball, grabbing klaw. I've tried them out in fluffy games and have rarely used them.
also heavy armour boyz, they die just as much as 6+ boyz but just cost more.
Berserkers with chainaxes too
