My pledge for April is a side-step. I'm going to paint up 8 Space Hulk door bases and edge paint the doors themselves. I've got stretches in mind, but I'm gonna start small - I've got a huge RL event-filled month ahead!

I feel you- April is a CRAYZEE month for me too. There is literally a big huge important event going on just about every single weekend for us.

Doesn't make things any easier with Japanese school starting up in April, and my wife being shanghaied into being the PTA president...

Glad it's not just me. This month is nuts, easing up until the end of June and if there's any hope in the world it may go eerily calm after that (doubt it though!! )

Hate it when you get dragged in to stuff like that. You always know that it's gonna be filled with vast amounts of headache and work. Sympathies to your wife

Well I took an opportunity and pushed through to finish these off. It may have been a bit of a pathetic pledge, but at least they're done. Anything else is a bonus now

I kept reaching for the BFTBG and Nurgle's Rot, but didn't want to go overkill. They are best put on after varnishing anyway so I think I'll wait until I have a few more minis finished down the line to make sure the theme fits - a few skulls, termie helmet, stealer parts etc could still be added to match the SH minis

So I got derailed by having a sudden increase in marking which I was not too enthusiastic about slogging through.

So the baddies from WoA is all I got done. April looks like being pretty crazy work and travel wise, so I'm just going to commit to getting the heroes from WoA and 2 monster groups from Descent done.

I expect to be fairly busy this month but I think May is when all of my birthdays/events pile up this year. Gonna work through some skeletons for another obligation as kind of a stretch goal and then either try to fit in some more Orcs or at least get some progress down so I can definitely finish a unit next month.

These guys are my last stretch goal for March (yeah, late, I know). It only took painting the last two of them to make a unit after my reorganisation of my Gondor army.

I haven't got anything done for April yet, though I've got at least a couple of simple things on the boil I should be able to complete since we're 1/4 of the way through already....

Automatically Appended Next Post:
And yes, I need to condense my multiple March models into one, smaller picture for the OP. Hopefully tomorrow or at least this weekend.

First April entry. A demon model that I sculpted. This guy is on a 50mm base, to give you a sense of scale. He's no lightweight.

As always, more pics available in my Blog. Link in my sig!

D&D 3.5

LOL. I built it originally to use for WHFB, but couldn't bring myself to break him off his square base when they went to AOS rounds. And I don't want to mix rounds & squares.

He looks fantastic - and I second the Kings of War suggestion - or at least giving the game a try.

I updated my March pics to one combined pic with all of the figures to take less space in the OP. While I was out there, I took a "challenge so far" pic showing all of the units I've completed so far this year as part of the challenge since we're at the halfway point:

It's important to note again that not every one of these figures was painted this year there are a few on both sides (Minas Tirith archers and Black Numenorians) where significant numbers of the models were painted before this year - but the units were finished this year as part of the challenge. Others (Forlong the Fat, Undead Ogres) were already started but had stalled out for months or longer - again - motivation for finishing them being a key point of the challenge.

Good work guys. That's a lot of dudes Az, even counting my orclings singly you've still got a bigger army

Chipping away at these skeletons. Not really feeling it but I do want to contribute to the final scenarios of the Pulp Alley campaign. Actually kind of eager to knock out a couple more orcs as well.

Nice. I like the way the colors on the models are close to the colors on the bases.

Thraxas they are very cool. And I agree the colours are a great choice.

This is stretch goal 2:
A very early WIP of my MEdge Hunter. Please excuse the sloppy base colours, I'll be blocking them in with black after I finish the base Leadbelcher.

Anrakyr is still ongoing, but fancied a break from him for a day or so

I'm getting a bit of a Virtual On vibe with that Hunter.

Put a couple of white block areas on it and you'd have a nice 2P Raiden from that game.

Good times, good times... now I need to hunt down one of those old Hasegawa model kits...
