Ok I am back caught up and really like the Blackstone miniatures. Nice work on them.

Particularly like the Rogue Trader and the striped pants, a little Dwarf Slayer in there.

On a more serious note, good gravy those are some pretty minis! You should paint minis from other ranges that are larger, I'm curious just how nice your style would lay down on something larger!

Finished up the Blackstone models for Moods! I really enjoy painting this sort of paint job, it's a real mix of visual styles, it looks simple but also looks striking and cool I like the heads on the psykers and the two halflings personally but the whole lot is a really attractive group of playable mini's that will certainly add a bunch of fun to the game when he plays it with his son! only thing left is to work out the bases

Great to see the blackstone fortress gang get the old Nerdy treatment - mine are en route and good to get some inspiration. What are you thinking will work basing wise? I am rather taken with the approach shown in WD but what are your thoughts o wise one?

Thanks guys, I won't have succeeded until i've triggered Theo to buy mini's and start another project! especially if it's Iron Warriors because i've been starting something a little different again no, not Iron Warriors but I am painting silver Terminators. It's no secret I despise Primaris and all they stand for, they are less than the rotting entrails on the sole of my boot after I have purged the Emperor's heretic enemies! BUT I still LoVE my marines, my Proper marines! but the feeling of what i've produced with my Griffons waned and I have agreed to sell them to a collector once i've painted the troops!

That leads me to where my Marines are coming from! I have always been very keen to do a sisters of battle army but have never done it due to metal models I am hoping the new models are really nice and I can collect an Order of the Bloody Rose which will give me a chance to paint red and also give me fanatical ceramite clad boltgun wielding powerhouses...... and did I mention Penitent engines!

Yes Damo, that's lovely but they're not marines you tool! ...... No, they're not but I can have allies! I have that squad of heroes2 Terminators and I really really want to paint and use them so I searched for histories of chapters that would fight along the sisters Black Templars?.....no......Salamanders?.........no...... Fire Angels?.......YES and it's another chapter who fought in the Badab War that makes 3 chapters i've done now!

anyway, they're silver, I can paint dirty metal well but I want to try new techniques and subtlety to make them look fantastic, seeing what Bebop can do now is a double blow of a kick in the nuts about my own level of skills and also a real trigger to want to do more so i've started them and so far primed and washed and now just started glazing the shadows, so far so good!

but first here's the progress on the Howling Griffons! yes i'm painting them all at once



and now the Fire Angels.

The thing keeping me from buying GW is GW. Honestly my gaming budget is low, very low to non existent, so when I had picked up in my hands 2 copies of Forgebane for the price of 1, I then realized the problem of finishing off either army . COST. GW is making so many nice things, but I can’t afford to keep up with that. That’s why these skirmish games keep drawing me in.

Also I despise the new marines like you despise them, the regular guys look good by themselves, but I don’t like the aggressors , the tank is so so and the dreadnought looks nothing like a washing machine .

Fire angels look great so far. Needs moar .

Hey guys, finally finished my Howling Griffons as I needed to sell them but it did force me to finish painting 40+ marines in quartered red and yellow hope you like them. I will be back in the land of Nerd this year but I have decided to try tackling different 40K related projects that I can attempt new things with, already have a few projects bubbling away in my head let's hope this amount of images will see you through for another week or two

So beautiful, yet so sad that you sold them . There is so much Nerdfest in each of them.

Looking forward to see what you have planned to follow these up with.

Please Nerdy do a Slaanesh army of these. You skills with color would be intense to say the least. Plus you wouldn’t get burnt out on doing one color over and over .
