Phahahaa...fruit basket. Nice report, I envy your ability to have such nice terrain at your disposal, and your ability to fight battles most weekends, my brother loses interest after an hour or two and none of my friends play... *sigh*

Sorry Gits, I tried to find the Templar plasma gun for your marine, the replacement obviously hadn't received the correct activation litanies. I would have words with your techmarine over how to correctly bless a plasma weapon so that the poor guy makes it through the next battle.

On the plus side its good that Thing1 is taking lessons from each battle, really glad to hear that he is improving. As to the batrep, another great game by the looks of it. On a finally note whats the load out on the Greater deamons they seem a bit point heavy for a 1650 list,

Actually I love the plasma. It was the first time I tried to magnetize anything that small so I used his back hand as it was balled into a fist and the stock of the plasma gun as the mounting points. Works just fine, you can hold it upside down and the plasma stays in & now I can dress up a couple of other options for him with no problem.

Those demons are strictly H-t-H oriented. Though the damage they do is strictly random though mostly aimed at terrain. However I suspect Blackhand's skaven would be in BIG trouble (the little black one is actually quite the mouser).

haha, yeah I think no matter how cool BH's new venom/Vermin Lord is the demons would probably edge the combat.

LOL, My skaven are up for it anyday...though I don't think I will want the models back after you "daemons" have finished with them, you can never get the smell off after that

well if you want a power list. then those nasty spawn creaturs? there very nasty and just the basic bugs and than lots of them. they kick my behind every time :( i even lost a chaos lord too them bloody daemonic weapons

I myself am a Proud father of two and i know i cant wait for the day my kids and i are having a game on the kitchen table..
As for you sons work i think hes very skilled and i really love the 1st/2nd edition models takes me back to when i first spotted the wonderful hobby...

I just got back from the store... $100 and almost nothing to show for it... fex to convert into that spawning thing... 1 box of gaunts, a gene stealer "sergeant" for lack of a better term... and a dex. Gods these things are expensive...

And, on the subject of thing 1's timidity on the table, Have him run the orks a few times. Aggression is the only way to go with the ladz, and most ork builds tend to pay out great dividends to those who get stuck in quick and hard.

@privateer: Thanks for taking the time man, welcome aboard. Hope to keep it lively and interesting... though school slows it down a bit. However with the onset of winter there may be more time for gaming pursuits as an officially sanctioned indoor activity. We've gone the ork route with him & he gets timid with those too... you can guess how that went. Problem is if he takes a big loss early he gets really set back off his stride. Heck, we ALL take big losses early... so it's just something he's got to work through.

His reading is coming along pretty well, I might even sit with him tonight and see if he can read all of your birthday wishes! (that would be fun).

Since one of the first Nid projects will be a major conversion and his first real outings painting... I suppose I'll put a blog together for him too. *sigh* My Mantis Warriors are *never* going to get done, are they?

Thanks WM, you're awfully good at it. I may take you up on it too, but I'm still waiting for parts which is why I've been dragging my heels on some of the marine trades. Should get my shoulder pads some time soon, but I still hold out hope that I can convince someone to do a helmet sculpt for me. I guess I've had so much else to do I haven't really worried about it too much, but eventually it's going to be a sticking point.
