Is 'Eavy Metal Calling?

UK

Apologies for the lateness of this one, I forgot that t wasn't a tie in the end last month. With that in mind, your topic options for February are:

Strength In Arms: Among warriors, there are those whose pursuit of martial skill is matched only by their sheer strength and physical prowess. Your entry should reflect the peak of fighting strength, be that in the form of a savage barbarian, an expert duellist or a hard-bitten brawler, or any other suitable archetype.

Lone Wolves: While most warriors are stronger with allies at their side, there are some who wage a more solitary war. From the rage-filled berserkers of the Space Wolves to the shadowy assassins of the Skaven, these individuals are most deadly when fighting alone. Your entry should be a single model that represents this theme.

Into The Breach: Whether besieging a fortress or raiding a compound, every army needs a vanguard to kick in the front door and be the first into the fray. From Breacher Squads of the Horus Heresy to a vanguard of heavily-armoured Ironjawz, your entry should consist of models that can always be found at the forefront of the battle.

Only The Best: Not every weapon or piece of armour is created equal. Whether it be a blade forged by the finest smiths of the age, or a technological arsenal that can level a city, your entry should feature models who boast the very best equipment, tools and weapons they can bring to bear.

I have a few models that could fit all of these categories so I'm happy with any.

As long as it involves orks grots and wackiness it'll get my vote

Trying to fit any of these to the Blackstone Fortress models is tricky, but I voted for Lone Wolves since Dahyek Grehk (the Kroot Tracker) fits the bill. I could probably work out something for each of them though.
Strength in Arms: The Chaos Marines from the set would fit this bill. Or perhaps the Beastmen.
Lone Wolves: The Kroot or perhaps the Aeldari Ranger would work here.
Into The Breach: The Beastmen come to mind, although UR-025 would probably work for this too since he's so big and tough.
Only the Best: Perhaps the Spindle Drones or the Rogue Trader (since he's packing some archaeotech).

My armies (re-counted and updated on 11/7/24, including modeled wargear options):
Dark Angels: ~16000 Astra Militarum: ~1200 | Imperial Knights: ~2300 | Leagues of Votann: ~1300 | Tyranids: ~3400 | Stormcast Eternals: ~5000 | Kruleboyz: ~3500 | Lumineth Realm-Lords: ~700

For into the breach I was going to go with my BSF traitor guard. Why waste a valuable set of troops when you can just drown the poor fools in chaff

I voted into the breach, but any could work for me. I'd like to paint up a Sons of Horus Reaver Squad so it fits the bill for the most part!

DKoK engineers and their drill are hoping very much for into the breach.

Tell that to the Hades drill that just blew through your bunker wall and the guys with shotguns that are killing your troops.

I don’t have anything that leaps out for any of these / can find something for all of them, so Into the Breach gets my vote just because I want to see more cool Krieg!

Voted for Only the Best, because I have a model or two that could very well represent this. Question is, will I get to painting it?

Into the Breach is also doable.

So if this is Into the Breach could we do a larger than 5 model squad?

Cheers,

Unless otherwise noted in the theme, the usual 1-5 models rule applies. So feel free to paint more than that and pick the best, but only 5 can be a part of the final entry.

Aww. If it was 6 models that fits a whole engineer squad with the hades drill.

Understood, going to do a 4 man command squad for a forlorn hope...the A-Team.

Cheers,
