@youwashock. The 4 horseman idea sounds good, but this fella won’t be doing it. The model is a bit of a pain to paint, 20 more cultists would be more fun.

@Theo LEDs would actually look pretty neat on this model!

@Commissar. The new chaos have been a lot of fun to paint up.

Hey guys thanks for following along, the pink mandibles came about because I wanted them to look disturbing and in stark contrast to the black. Captain Brown thanks for the comment.

The cloak looks really fantastic. I find a lot of folks struggle with fabric, but you've nailed it here.

Wow so many comments! Really glad you guys like how he is turning out, getting close to finishing him now. I have to give a lot of credit to Gitz I was stumped about what to do with the spikes A quick pm and he gave me the idea to rust em up and add dried blood. Luckily I only had to prick my finger twice to get the look. As for the cloak I sent some pics to him(Gitz) and he twisted my arm to push the highlights. Thanks Gitz!

Well here he is the Lord Discordant, ready for the tabletop. At this time blu tac is holding him in place, may add the Black Legion symbol to the flag if I can find a decal.

@Graven, Thanks buddy I think he may be my favorite Black Legion that I have painted so far. Too bad the Death Guard cant take him other than an ally, he would look pretty cool painted up with rust and gore.

They look nice, i quite like the lighter Grey.

I just read through your plog! I love the slimy look of the DG - especially the arid bases. The cultists look amazing too - really an inspiration!

NotOnline I knew you would like the idea of more cultists. That new chaos commissar and ogryn look cool but not sure if they have rules yet.

So I would like some input for the next mob of cultists. Here is a pic of my test model I wanted them painted up similar but different. Do you think the cowl looks ok or should I change the black to something else?

I think it works quite well. The halved hood on the champion also looks very cool. The fabric all looks really good, actually, capes, robes and such.

Looking good! I prefer the grey-ish cowls, but some varation could also be nice? I would add a smidge more detail around the lens, to make it pop more.

Those cultists are great minis and you're certainly doing them justice. Love the grey/red scheme and the different variations you're puling off.

Big guy on the mecha spider also looks fantastic finished up; really cool centrepiece for an army. Love your work 8-)
