Hello all, I usually don't post my stuff but I was quite pleased with how this came out. I just came off a big airbrush batch paint for my AdMech army yesterday and I still had an itch to airbrush today. I've had this metal Nova Cat rolling around my box for ages. It's one of my favourite battlemechs, and the Nova Cat clan is known for bright paint schemes. All I want to do today is blow pretty colors through my airbrush; it seemed like the perfect fit.
It was an hour endeavor, minus drying time for the snow. The point was to be quick and colorful. I primed black and gave a white zenithal highlight. I went with Mordian Blue from underneath to establish shadows, then did Screamer pink from above to start blending. Then it was Bad Moons Yellow from the front 3/4s and heavily diluted Khorne Red from the back to finish to cross section of colors. After that I quickly pinwashed the seams with black wash, painted the base white (and drybrushed a bit on to the feet), and finished with
GW's technical snow effect. Nothing fancy, just something to keep my energy up; get a finished product and scratch that itch.
