Are the transfers they’ve put on the Corsair vehicles on the current transfer sheet?

If it is a new Viper I'll have to buy one of the lovely lovely old ones again before it goes.

Might be more of a starweaver then a vyper?

Also is that a new seer? And potentialy yrial?

Definitely Yriel.

I think there’s a new seer.

Increasingly confident that whilst I’m not sure what it is, it’s not a Vyper. It looks to have an enclosed, possibly unmanned turret?

Does look like the old FW Hornet as Overead said before. Very excited to see some Corsair minis. Hope they do some more exotic RT era colour schemes

It could be that the new Vyper went for a Starweaver/Venom gun mount and replaced the old gyrochair assembly to bring it more in line with the other two.

The thingy looks like a slightly larger Vyper without an exposed gunner I'd say, but smaller than a Hornet.

The leaked pics show at least 4 rumors that are unsolved. The gun and robotic arm is one chaos dude, the mech arm is another chaos dude, there’s a few more in there too.

Love the new Falcon turret and the Vyper with a plasma cannon. Those look really cool.

How do we feel about both this new maelstrom and the 500 worlds arcs for the edition end/start? I thought that the 500 bit was going to be the wrap event of 10th, but could it be this instead?

That's just a wave serpent isn't it?

The rumour is 500 worlds, maelstrom, eye of terror, Armageddon as a series of books in the end campaign (similar how you'd have Arks of Omen I, II, III).

Maybe Armageddon is the start of 11th, rather than end of 10th, not sure where it fits.

All I’m hoping for with all this elder stuff is that Karandras finally shows up.

Could be! When I saw it earlier it didn't look like the Wave Serpent turret, but I could definitely be wrong.

Looks like a WS turret with starcannons, but I’d love to be wrong. The Falcon holds up well, but could use a fresh kit.

Same way I feel about the filler material at the end of any edition: Indifferent.

No arguments here. I begrudgingly buy books with a 3 year lifespan. Those with a 3-6 month one? Nah...

Assuming the next edition doesnt clean slate it all, the detachments etc should still stand.

Though more specifically, each of these is more the first book in their own series - more like Vigilius. So 500 Worlds: Titus is the first of the 500 Worlds book, there will be more books expanding that narrative through 11th etc, same as the others.

I'd really like it if they just retextured the existing falcon. Same proportions, same design. Just add some more detail, reorganize the sprues, add some more gubbins and options, perhaps a varient.

It's truly remarkable that the Falcon is one of the oldest kits GW has, yet stylistically it may as well have released today.

It has a genuine claim for being GW's best ever model if accounting for release date.

Appearances aside too, it's not nearly as bad a kit to build as you would expect it to be. It's still an old kit with all that entails, but there are much worse kits that are newer.

I agree that it deserves a refresh with minimal changes and just technical improvements. Same for the Carnifex, please! Another timeless classic, whose update I worry would cost it its character and incredible build versatility.

Honestly the Eldar update has been very good at updating the original concept and not changing what works; just improving upon it after years of sculpting and casting tech advances.

Though a part of me would like to see the really old Falcon from Epic 40K make a reappearance with its central gemstone.

Carnifex honestly I'm torn on. No doubt it would be great to get an updated kit for all the improvements; little added details and so on.

But GW also did the screamer killer and I kind of get a feeling that we might see them do several named carnifex variations like that as stand alone kits rather than one generic catch-all.
GW today is sort of shying away from "one kit does a dozen roles". And if they did each one as its own thing they can add loads of details you can't get from a single kit (at least not unless you go really wild with spare parts)

Only caveat I'd add to that is the pilot. Makes the whole piece look out of scale, since one can generally ignore all the 40k vehicles being too small without obvious reminders like the driver being visible. Really, with part of the Eldar schtick being smooth, seamless surfaces (Jes Goodwin originally wanted to give them all no-eyes helmets like the Wraithguard) it's really weird how they have canopies on their vehicles at all, let alone transparent ones.

If they’re redoing the base falcon/wave serpent hull, I’d like them to change the proportions to better match the Forge World Scorpion II and the aircraft – so longer, more swept back hull slopes and so on.
Also, a Scorpion (et al) in plastic would be amazing.

I don't really think the Falcon needs revisiting at all tbh.

The Wave Serpent does. It needs much more mass underneath or just not basing off the Falcon at all ideally. It only looks like it does in 40k because they cheaped out the number of additional sprues to match the Epic 40,000 counterpart.

As Overread said above, GW has been pretty good about maintaining old aesthetics with their Eldar revamps. Not to jinx things, but fingers crossed. I would (selfishly) like them to keep the old proportions, just to match my existing collection. But the more lean elongated FW stuff does look cool. The SH grav tanks have long tempted me, and a switch to plastic would be an instant purchase from me. Doubt it will happen, but a guy can dream...

Honestly I don't expect to ever see a Scorpion for Eldar.

That said I think we could certainly see the FW Falcon variation with a huge central gun appear as an option with an updated kit. Though honestly I'd rather see them do a Lynx which I think is big enough for 40K to be chunky but also somewhat practical (and who doesn't want a huge mega flying gun to take out titans).
