I've done that twice now - a nice dryin in the airing cupboard (or do I mean brewing cupboard) is all it takes.
Painting that confessor model now - he is great, such a mad monk.

Is the mirrored runic a dalecarlian rune on purpose? If so quite awesome especially since you at least if transcribed to standard/modern swedish named the guy or he's chainsaw to frö (seed) Overall I really Like your paintjobs (and the minis)! What colour(s) did you use for his face?

I have to say it is a coincidence - I just remember the runes from a history book on vikings!
The face is white primer followed by privateer press armour wash, over that highlighted layers built up with vallejo flesh tone with a mixed wash of red and tan over the top.

They are bulk old. One of the first ranges done for RT. Except the psyker with the big peacock collar and the confessor - they are early second ed. I think I'm beginning to turn into a nerdy collector. I got an ebay voucher so I went and purchased two very very old inquisitors with power armour.
Kryten yes he was the inspiration for the vacuum attachment! loved that scene.
the scrunt will get his tattoo when hell freezes over, so some time in January or February.
"As the days go by, we face the increasing inevitability that we are alone in a godless, uninhabited, hostile and meaningless universe. Still, you've got to laugh, haven't you?"
There's an old android saying which I feel is particularly relevant to this situation. It goes: '00101010110100101101001111001010101001011011000101010'
Has anyone else here ever used the word 'Bulk' in a gratuitous way? Its very satisfying, in fact it is bulk satisfying. Q: 'How much did you drink last night?' A: 'Bulk'

Not aware of having done so, but I suspect it's now wormed it's way into my head and will get used
Off to friend's for a couple of days, hope to see some nice old-skool stuff here when I get back

Well I should make better use of the time really - I mean what the hell am I doing right now? lying in bed playing cityville and solitaire...?! But then when I am busy I pine for my bed and laptop combo. Valuable time well spent.
Thanks I am really pleased with how this mad monk came out. It really was quick too. Washes are the key to fast lazy painting - but you have to be careful how you put them on cos they end up where you didnt want them if your not careful.
Ths guy was washed all over with armour wash (I do that with all of them now as it really helps.) flesh tone for the skin, and a mix of brown, purple and white for the robe. brown on the strap, flesh tone with white for the parchment. Then watered down armour wash on the robe and parchment, undiluted armour wash on the feet and chainsaw, red and brown wash for the face etc. finally chainmail on the chainsaw, eyes, teeth and blood (more red and brown wash)

I agree about the washes being quick but it does take an experienced colorist to know what base colors are going to look great in combination, after the successive washes are done. Tou definitely have that ability, I love how these things are turning out. Can't wait to see the next minis.

All that food'n'booze slowing you down over christmas?
Mad monk Jupe looks good, nice simple, effective colour scheme
Morgana (Yes Mistress, certainly Mistress, sorry Mistress) is top-notch (even allowing for my predilection for gun-toting redheads ). Nice crisp white (always tricky), and good choice of colours for the rest. Great job on the face too.
About time you started basing some of these guys isn't it?

Well in my defense a lot of them are based but I'm lazy about doing it so the photos get taken before they get based. Doing it with sand from the beach. Really cant be bothered to paint them either as the sand has a nice color.
Christmass is screwing with my productivity - I should be up at the studio getting mugs ready for people whove asked but I'm afraid it might have to wait for new year as I'm busy watching columbo... Maybe their will be daytime films later. And I am painting the space eunuch. He is bred for strength and has had his organs replaced with bionic enhancement implants...

I must of seen a dozen - but I missed that one. I think you are meant to be suspicious about the things he says about his wife as they are just to put the suspect at ease and give him an excuse to ask awkward questions - I will google it and find out what the one with his wife is and watch it.
Chocolategork As for playing with them I don't have the space. I used to hang out with some guys who played and its great fun - specially necromunda. Used to be best at winning w40k with an ork speed freak army - but this was all back in 1990s and all the rules have changed, I've grown up and my friends have moved away. If I ever get a bigger flat I might have a go at necromunda again
