Spoiler:

Makes me think of the suit from Superman and Lois and the My Adventures with Superman design.

Amidst the mists and coldest frosts he thrusts his fists against the posts and still insists he sees the ghosts.

It will be nice when DC gets over their obsession with desaturating everyone's outfits.

Whilst somewhat exhausted of the DCEU’s constant reboots and retooling and that?

I do like James Gunn movies. Sure he has a distinctive style and voice to his movies, but they’re at least fun. And just making your film fun seems to be verging on a lost art.

Suit looks pretty decent. Bit alarmed he’s seemingly oblivious to what’s going on outside his window mind.

One has to assume that's why he's suiting up.

It's really hard to be concerned about Thursdays when you can fly around the Earth really fast and come out on Wednesday before the angry eye in the sky even arrived.

I don't really like this suit.

I realize I will be in the minority but I almost wish they would use the Superman Suit that Christopher Reeve wore. with just a tiny hint of a modern spin on that suit.

Very odd choice of picture for the new Superman. Definitely feels less "super" and more "boredom of man" than anything else.

With James Gunn I'm hoping he doesn't make Supes some quippy hero that the MCU has been plagued with for so many phases.

I don't dislike it, but its not served well by the space laser that's seemingly shooting up Metropolis in the background while he's casually getting dressed.

Superman would never say this. He’s American.

He’s not. He’s Kryptonian. Everyone knows that.

On the quippy? I think there’s some room for Supes delivering younger delinquents an 80’s Saturday Morning type PSA, as they realise the futility of criming in Metropolis.

He is an immigrant and part of the workforce. And he has never, never said “Lordy”. It’s “gosh golly” over here.

He’ll say Lordy Lordy when I discover some kind of talent in this sad life of mine and then bribe/blackmail my way to writing a few Superman strips.

Raised in rural Kansas no less as well. He's the symbol of truth, justice and the American way for DC. He definitely doesn't talk like a Brit.

Ehhhh, in a TV series I can see them getting away with that, but in a movie where time is premium and you have the pressure of bringing back Superman back onto the big screen, I feel it would be non-sequitur unless they made the entire movie to be very campy and memberberries focused.

There’s ways and means.

Consider The Hound when he catches up with the renegade Brotherhood Without Banners lot. He so hopelessly and comprehensively outclasses them, he can have a bit of fun without that fun being “funny”

It's more or less the New 52 suit with trunks and the Kingdom Come 'S'. I liked that suit, so I'm okay with it. Would like to have seen them keep the trunks off it, but whatevs.

Krypto the Superdog Will Appear in James Gunn’s ‘Superman’: He’s a ‘Not-So-Good-Good-Boy’ - Variety

Superman‘s canine best friend will be joining him onscreen next year.

Krypto the Superdog will appear in James Gunn‘s upcoming “Superman,” the director confirmed on social media Tuesday. He made the announcement in honor of October being Adopt a Shelter Dog month.

“Krypto arrives on screens in Superman this summer,” Gunn wrote. “Krypto was inspired by our dog Ozu, who we adopted shortly after I started writing Superman. Ozu, who came from a hoarding situation in a backyard with 60 other dogs & never knew human beings, was problematic to say the least. He immediately came in & destroyed our home, our shoes, our furniture – he even ate my laptop. It took a long time before he would even let us touch him. I remember thinking, ‘Gosh, how difficult would life be if Ozu had superpowers?’ – and thus Krypto came into the script & changed the shape of the story as Ozu was changing my life. What better time to debut the not-so-good-good-boy Krypto than #AdoptAShelterDog month. Btw, Ozu today, is, fairly often, a very good boy.”

Krypto, a superpowered dog from Superman’s home planet Krypton, has appeared in dozens of animated DC films, but has never appeared in a live-action film. He’ll be making his debut with David Corenswet’s Man of Steel in Gunn’s movie next summer before joining Milly Alcock’s Kara Zor-El in “Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow” from director Craig Gillespie, set to debut June 2026.

Since appearing in a 1955 DC Comics issue of “Superboy,” Krypto has always appeared as a white dog with gold collar and red cape that matches Superman. Just like the famous Kryptonian hero, Krypto has super strength, intelligence and senses. Dwayne Johnson previously voiced the canine in 2022’s “DC League of Super-Pets,” opposite Kevin Hart as Batman’s caped crusading canine Ace.
