Well it took me a few months but I got all the bronze down on the warhounds somewhere around may. Since then I've been going back and forth on colors to paint the darker metals. I finally settled on Testor's Metalizer Buffing GunMetal, this paint is a little finicky but I've been able to put a nice base coat down on all of the body parts.
Last night I spent the entire night masking off the 2 leg grieves and the 1 head piece so they can have black/white stripes.

Tonight I'm planning on painting them as well as putting a layer of primer down on all of the arm weapons. I'm shooting to have these titans done sometime in January for a large apoc game in Durrant Oklahoma.

Moltar - Thanks!

Well here's a photo of the gunmetal applied

As you can see I need to touch up the red and bronze

I also got all of the arm guns primed

These are the guns that mate to the toys (They need their magnet piece)

Here's the leg pieces and head piece after spraying and removing the masking tape.

I spent last night touching up the bronze, next up will be the whites and blacks.

I've missed those guns. Progress is progress and I love seeing it all slowly come together. This is one of two threads that convinced me to join Dakka. So please keep posting.

With the holiday I was able to get a little more work done on the Warhounds.
First up I got the striped pieces cleaned up and re-bronzed.

Then I got all the gun parts gun metal-ed

You'll notice the black pieces in that. Turns out I'd forgotten to finish the back caps for the torsos
So a quick resin job and they were ready to prime. Hopefully next week I'll reapply the reds to the legs, and apply it to the back pieces and guns!

Well I've been worry about how much sanding would be required to reassemble the legs and I was surprised it was very little (just some drilling out to make the bolts fit).

Holding the leg armor in place.

No leg armor.

Well this Friday I'm going to have both of my knees scoped so I'll be unable to work on the warhounds next weekend so I decided to double up this week!
I was able to (via a major bit of help from my father) remember how to reassemble the first warhound's electrical system.

All together

Lights on

Cockpit lights on

Damage lights on

This week I'm going to go through and touch up the bronze on this first titan and touch up some areas.

In 2 weeks I'll paint the exhausts and connector plate (on the bottom of the torso in these pics).

Solar_Lion - Thanks!

Cosmic - Thanks!

Well the recovery went fine. I've still got some pain but even on the worst days I am tons better than I was.

Last week we were able to get headlights and dashboards installed on the remaining 3 titans.
While we were at it we decided that the dash was a little bright so we added a resistor to dim them some.

This week was centered on trying to get the power switches (master and headlights) and the speakers installed.
The downside is we somehow managed to destroy 1 speaker. But other than that all 4 now have dashboards installed.

Next week we'll finish up the wiring and then it'll be bronze touch ups and then painting exhausts and under panels!

Well this week has been interesting. We got all 4 wired up and ready to stuff and noticed one of the sound modules wasn't working, and the capacitor on the board was getting VERY hot. So we dissassembled it, took out the capacitor and tried a new one. Same issue. Then we removed the whole module and replaced it with a new one (ALWAYS buy spares for a project like this) and the same issue happened. My dad decided to try the speaker and that did it. Yet again we had another bad speaker!
I was also able to get the nose bits attached and the exhausts basecoated! During this week I've been able to touch up the bronze on the torsos and legs. Next up is bronze on the guns!

A tight fit!

Well friends I'm under the gun now. I'm trying to get 1 warhound done for the Adepticon Titanicus event next Saturday, however I'm leaving Tuesday morning. So I have roughly 1 week to get a warhound "finished" which I'll be honest will not have any weathering.
So to that end let us take stock of where I started off this Sunday night and I'll post more updates through the week as I get ready.
All of the shins are bronzed (you can see one of my major distractions Titanfall in the right of the picture).

All of the heads are bronzed

The extra head has been assembled

A pair of extra feet have been assembled

I touched up some of the reds and other colors on the bodies

And picked a torso to be my go to to finish.

So that is where they sat Sunday night.

Well Monday I was able to work from home, and yesterday I came in late to work. So that meant more time on the couch painting titans!

Some of you may remember the first head piece that I tried out the gold finishing powder (it has become the extra head pictured last post). Well that stuff is insanely hard to control, so when the ForgeWorld Masterclass book 2 mentioned "Gold Rub N Buff" I decided to give it a try.

As you can see it came out pretty good So I decided to apply it to all the guns

Then the heads and shins

Then the legs (this one didn't get its gunmetal cleaned up)
Flash

No Flash

And finally the torso

Solar_lion - Come up and say Hi! I'll be spending most of Friday at boota town (i'll try and have the hound on me) and Saturday night I'll be at the titanicus event!

Moltar - Thanks for sticking with me!

Well last night I decided just bringing basic painted models while neat isn't ideal so I decided to add some weathering all over.
First up something no one will see. I sponged some bronze on the lowest part of the foot, and then a little bit of gold over that.

I also hit all of the hard edges with a very slight silver drybrush

Not very noticeable but I think it helps.

I still need to finish the cockpit and work on the crew.

Well after an entire day of painting I managed to get the crew installed!
I'm afraid I didn't get any pictures of the moderati out of the cockpit because I was so happy to get them finished.

First off let me apologize for going silent on the Mic after adepticon. When I got home I was beat, and my friends decided to have an Escalation tournament the week after which meant I needed to get another warhound done. This has kept me pretty preoccupied.

Here are all the pictures I took at Adepticon, sorted backwards for some reason.
http://smg.photobucket.com/user/Foda_Bett/library/Travels/2014%20Adepticon?sort=3&page=1

First picture up is of the finished warhound Jurisian.

You can see him battling around in some of the Adepticon pictures.

Next up is a shot of Jurisian next to his brother Erasmus

Both of the titans are named after heroes who died in the 3rd War for Armageddon. Jurisian was an Emperor's Champion who fell during the battle of Hellsreach, and Erasmus is Captain Tycho's first name.
