No.
But if you have heard something to the contrary then say so.
BUt I don't think they will do this at all. FW are doing their usual ltd edition model but that's it AFAIK.

As a one-off conversion to look cool at a GamesDay or a GW store, yes. To sell to us, no.
I'm sure I'm not the only one who doesn't want just another set of stock-standard BA termies in my SH game - I look forward to seeing all the conversions in September. DeathWing would appear to be the simplest option, but a few will be more adventurous - anyone for pre-Heresy termies?
I want the termi's, but i just wanna stick 'em on plastic bases and sell the rest. if anyone would buy the boxed set without the term'is for 30 pounds PM me.....

I wondered if someone would pick up that point. By 'complete boxed game' I meant a limited edition game with the full works (plastic miniatures etc), not a cardboard cheapie. In that sense it does seem to be novel, for them. But I see that discussion is now obsolete - such is the speed with which Dakka picks up a topic, jumps all over it, then spits it out.
Incidentally - 'fething'?? How did a rather lame substitute for the 'f' word become standard currency here? It sounds like one of those slang terms for an obscure sexual perversion, as spoken by someone with a bad lisp.

Fething was brought into popularity do to its use in Gaunt’s Ghosts.

A long, long time I did hear some talk about a Space pup capt. which was pretty much dismissed, not least as I believe the design studio tends to get a little tetchy about FW treading on the toes of new/forthcoming releases so had dismissed it out of hand.
Then..I read the above and...

Glad I'm not the only one who thinks that. The thing is at least fantasy miniatures are of differnet races. I started playing in 2005 so haven't seen anything but SM for 40k, come on GW where's the XENOS And I play SM to.(along with Orks)

Got WD in post. Alot of space devoted to SH. A few interesting titbits:
There will not be any expansions.
3D corridors were made, but only to be photographed to make the cardboard tiles.
Electronic counter was considered, but dropped.
Web site will have a Mission Generator.
If you can keep your head, while all about you are losing their's, then you have probably completely misunderstood the situation!
oh, sorry, i didn't realize i was posting while still grooving to that techno beat! i think i prefer the awkward silences and forced jokes of the battlefoam videos!

Just to answer I have not heard anything just wondered whether anyone else had (about ltd ed deathwing or other expansion) but guess WD says it all this month.
I bet litko and other sites will do replacement plastic counters and stuff.
I so hope it does sell well then we get a BB re-release with some bad-ass human and orc teams.
That chaos warrior, is that the one you get with your ticket?
Is there not ltd ed and pre-release stuff for sale on the stands anyway? (forgive me, I plan to go GDUK this year, but I have not been since 1995)
Guess this going a bit OT very sorry.

I don't see it happening. The demand for BB hasn't been there over the years. A lot is still available, so they can see the levels of sales from year to year. You can download the current rules.
When they re-released BB a while back, the sales were very disappointing for GW, and far, far below expectations. If I had to pick one game that they might re-release next year, I'd go with Warhammer quest.
....and lo!.....The Age of Sigmar came to an end when Saint Veetock and his hamster legions smote the false Sigmar and destroyed the bubbleverse and lead the true believers back to the Old World.
As much as Jervis is a champion or Blood Bowl (he did write it after all), I can't see them doing a new release of the game for the exact same reasons I don't see a re-release of Epic, Necromunda, Mordheim, Warmaster, Gorkamorka or any specialist games system.
Why?
All these games require support. Blood Bowl isn't just a game in a box. Sure, you can play with the current contents of the box as much as you like, but there are many other teams and therefore model lines and different rules to support. Necromunda has many gangs, Mordheim many warbands. Epic, Warmaster and BFG have entire armies to support. Inquisitor is a different scale. Only Gorkamorka could work realistically as it could leech of the now-extensive Ork line, but even that won't happen because, again, it requires support from GW, something they won't give.
Warhammer Quest is the only other recent game (and that's a loose definition of 'recent') that could work as a re-release, limited or otherwise. It was a complete game in a box, just like Space Hulk. You didn't require anything beyond what came in the box to play lots and lots of varied and interesting games, just like Space Hulk. It had expansions, but they were all non-mandatory, just like Space Hulk. And although it was given support, it did not require it, just like Space Hulk.
So yeah, I think a renaissance in Necromunda or BFG or even Epic would be awesome, but I just can't see it ever happening. A re-release of an old game has to have as few strings attached for GW as possible, which is why Space Hulk made so much sense (and especially as they've included bits of Deathwing and Genestealer in it, so they don't even need to consider expansions). Only Quest fits this business model, so I'd only expect that (and I don't expect anything new for a long time).
I think the plastic Librarian is noticeably better than the merely OK 4th edition metal. The previous Metal Terminator librarian is similar to this new plastic SH version, but this version is a LOT better. Just gorgeous.
