Hmmm...I wish you were wrong about BB and the other Fab Board games, but I fear your right.

I do think GW can get away without supporting them though, as there is such a player led protocol for change.

Wouldn't mind seeing warhammer quest, I must say, or a new heroquest...lol...roll em all out.

That new librarian is just blowing me away...

- That's great news on the dispatch

Sadly, Americans rarely seem to get our stuff extra early. But I hope to be wrong this time.

Well the people on the east coast will usually get it a day or two before the west coast since GW ships them all at the same time from the east coast. For pre-orders I seem to get mine about that much early, depending on how much time they build into their release to compensate for shipping delays.

A long while ago I got a prerelease a week after the actual release date. I just hope that doesn't happen here. Well I complained they said they'd send me something to make up for it, $10 giftcard and a single Sister of Battle. The sister of battler was quite random.

Before everyone gets too excited, just got this email from GW:

Thank you for your recent Space Hulk order. Some of you may have noticed that your "My Games Workshop" page is showing your order as having been dispatched. Please be aware that this is not the case. Due to a mix-up in all the excitement to pack the thousands of boxes we will be sending out next week, a small number of orders were inadvertently marked as having already been sent. We apologize for any confusion: your order will be dispatched shortly and you will receive your copy of Space Hulk no later than the 5th of September.

You know, just because the game is going to be a limited edition release doesn't stop the figures from being sold separately at a later date. The crashed aquila that first appeared in the Macragge set is now being sold separately; it certainly seems like a lot of effort moldwise to make a limited number of castings.

That said, the 5th will be an interesting day. Those who have preordered have until midday to pick them up and pay for them or they're being recycled to the shelves for the plebs to scrap over.

he he he. GW website was blocked from work so asked wife to order me one. The GW site was getting hammered and playing up and it looks like she has managed to order two. So, I have gone from "not ordering as not worth $100 for nostalgia as game wasn't that good" to having two copies coming.

Ethical dilema - do I tell the wife her mistake or plead ignorance and see if I can get away with holding onto two copies.

2014 will be the year of zero GW purchases. Kneadite instead of GS, no paints or models. 2014 will be the year I finally make the move to military models and away from miniature games.

Do any of us need the vast quantity of boxed or unbuilt models we will never ever build let alone paint?

Need has nothing to do with it

They will be used at some point in the future for a potential project that I possibly have half formed in my mind that may make it to paper at some point (possibly) that then may, in a couple of years, make it to the design phase. Once it reaches that phase it only takes a couple more years to actually purchase the basing materials and work out how to convert it (having found the time to do it of course)and then another year to actually sit at my desk and start (providing there isn't a CSI marathon on that day). Ofcourse, completion isn't guaranteed - I may abandon it half way through for the next shiny toy.

So, yes, I do need two copies.
