The Broodlord's the big one... the one that towers over the other models.

And yes, it looks like they're the same size.

Nothing worth winning ever came easy.

Lets hope for an expansion for this game, I really liked the old Selection system started in DeathWing, where you did buy your squads for a certain amount of points.

Thanks for picture.

i saw the box today at my LGS...
the minis are very nice...

i feel like my pre-order was worth it, even just to paint the minis...
i will be selling it off after i paint 'em all, once the game sels out, so i should get a nice return on my investment...

cheers

I don't mind the actual Brood Lord, but the sculpted kibble looks weird to me. I can accept the mountain of skulls (although they seem far too well 'stacked' as I'd expect a natural pile of objects to be flatter) but the piece of equipment looks unnatural. It looks like the Broodlord should knock it off balance.

Working on someting you'll either love or hate. Hopefully to be revealed by November.
Play the games that make you happy.

Can't you see he's holding two of the skulls? Clearly he's the one stacking them up like that. The whole "evil alien" thing is just Imperial propaganda - everything you've been told is a lie!

The Genestealers are just defending their homes and their right to stack things (skulls or otherwise) in whatever manner they please. It's the Terminators who come in without warning or provocation to ruin that for them.

Looks like GW didn't skimp out too much in the color pages department; ftw. For the price of codices it always bugged me that it was half black and white.

you can but from my limited hands on time with the timer (no pun intended), i'm not sure if you want to try and pry the lid off. it's like the tubular dice holders in that the tip might break if forced. as long as the time is constant, it doesn't matter if it corresponds to a specific unit of measurment.

Use your pin vice to make a tiny hole in one end and feed only a few grains of sand at a time. Seal with epoxy.

The timer is only used during the SM turn. The Genestealer player gets as long as he needs. Therefore a short or long timer is unfair to one side or the other.

Does anyone know which of the Genestealer models there are the Broodlord?

no its not they're a little bit bigger (we compared them in the store with a 40k terminator on a 40k base and the space hulk on its regular and its still bigger)

Its amazing it has individual pictures of each genestealer and terminator and objectives, all painted and each inside a nice frame that if your crazy enough you can cut it and have cool cards... me Im just going to use them as painting guides.

THe size of these terminators and black reach ones are very very very very and very similar... I doubt anyone will notice half a milimetre or less diference. These do seem more bulky due to lots of details on plastics.

I rather count 5 seconds than drill my sand watch

Here you go the sides of the under box with the painting guide and pic of the miniatures painted, great help for the painters outhere.

you and your silly common sense! where's the fun in that! you're buying 21 genestealers; at the very least, you should pretend you've got rending claws yourself and rip that thing open to put a few grains of sand in!

Not that they couldn't change their minds later, but there's a disclaimer in White Dwarf this month saying no expansions are planned. Also, the rules for this version of the game already incorporate items that were in the Deathwing and Genestealer expansion sets for the original version of the game.
