Finished the Sister Superior and the two Mark I Immolators (except for their names...have to decide what I am going to call them...if you look at the tanks in my Sisters of Battle PLOG you will understand).

I hate the pictures of these two. It always makes them look so strange.

Doing the mold lines on Tau Firewarriors. They clean up a bit easier than space marines which is nice.

So, working on four Sisters of Battle with Heavy Flamers...remembered that they can only be painted properly with the Heavy Flamers removed. So 30 minutes in the freezer and off came the Heavy Flamers. Will be working on them for several days as they were basically primed and had only a little base colouring.

Cheers,

CB

Finally sorting out the bases to my Necron models.

First, glue down the home made crystals to the base made out of sprue, then, once dry I'll use PVA glue to put the base material down (sand). I'll then prime the model black.
After that, I'll paint the crystals to match the Gauss of my army, and dry brush the base with grey to give it an "ash wasted" look.

Finished the four Heavy Flamer Sisters...so up next is likely the remaining two Sister Superiors and two Sisters with Melta Guns (Multi-Meltas will likely be last infantry I build for the arm). Then perhaps the Immolator Mark 1s for them to travel in (although those are broken down to their base parts right now).

Cheers,

Finished up a conversion of Barabas Dantioch for my loyalist Iron warriors. He's abit rough around the edges because the original metal model was beat up pretty badly and caked with paint after I snagged it of ebay for cheap but I'm pretty darn happy with him. Just waiting for a Mk3 techmarine come in so I van give him a cool backpack with a servo arm.

Grim Dark Angels Interrogator-Chaplain

A Protoss colony world

Played a 2000 point game of 40k with a friend today. My Khorne Daemonkin vs. his Orks. My list had a CAD with a Juggerlord, a D-thirster, a Heldrake, my Khorne Knight, and a Soul Grinder along with a unit of Bloodletters and a unit of Cultists as troops. I also had a Gorepack with two units of melta bikes and 3 units of Khornedogs (2 5 model and 1 10 model). His list had a tooled-up Warboss in Mega Armor, a unit of Meganobz in a Trukk, 4 units of Shoota Boyz each in a Trukk, 2 10-man squads of Lootas, and a Killkrusha Tank (I think that's what his big tank was). I won the game handily as might be expected from this matchup, with my friend conceding after just 3 turns. The game really just went to show how desperately Orks need a better codex, and my friend realized this. I also got very lucky with some of my saves, as my Chaos Lord survived longer than he statistically should have.

My armies (re-counted and updated on 11/1/23, including modeled wargear options):
Dark Angels: ~15000 Astra Militarum: ~1200 | Adeptus Custodes: ~1900 | Imperial Knights: ~2000 | Sisters of Battle: ~3500 | Leagues of Votann: ~1200 | Tyranids: ~2600 | Stormcast Eternals: ~5000
Check out my P&M Blogs: ZergSmasher's P&M Blog | Imperial Knights blog | Board Games blog | Total models painted in 2023: 40 | Total models painted in 2024: 12 | Current main painting project: Dark Angels

Only the black armour, red cloth and skin tones done so far on one of the small starter factions.

Samurai models are a pig to build, light infantry are better, both have the typical Warlord problem, paired arms and legs with nothing on the frames to show you which goes with which...

At a Place, Making Dolls Great Again

Painting my Death Guard, I always felt kind of sorry for that army, they got tossed in a shoe box, I was digging up stuff to sell and since they're mostly static space marines they'd not be sold for much, so I greenstuffed a lot and dug up some other stuff (the forgeworld dread which is the centrepiece along with the old metal one).
Next the Khorne army and the Slaanesh Demon army (which will eventually happen).
