Thanks Youwashock. The kroots were the most fun to paint, my attempt was to make them look like a parrot.

He's looking good! You can see him belonging to your raptors but the helmet clearly says, that he's the big cheese.

now that will be a blender lord.

i will do a bit of searching thru my bitz bin and see if I can come up with a few skulls, or perhaps chop up some space marine parts. Was also thinking of some chipping or gore effects on his swords. Not to much as the rest of the army doesnt have a lot of battle damage.

@youwashock Thanks! My idea is that even if he is a Black Legion champ he has aligned himself with Khorne so needed some red on his armour.

Here is a bit of an update. Found some skulls on a rope so I hung them off his belt. What is your guys take on it?

I like the skulls, think maybe some scorch marks on them since they are under the jets of the backpack.

Liking the colors you have blocked in on him. Enough to show Khornage, but still obviously Black Legion.

Ok here is a bit of charring on the skullls.

Nice progress. He looks just about done. Are the skulls charred because they're right under his jump jets?

@Warboss yep Theo pointed out they should look a bit burnt since they sit under the jets. Thanks Theo! And yes he is almost finished.

Whoosh whoosh chop chop slice n' dice. Nice work. The eye on the chest is another great detail.

Great work on the charring, helps tick off a realism box.

Have some of your models blood on their cc weapons? I do it on most of my minis because it gives a nice spot color on the weapon (with skirmish minis sometimes after the first game, if they killed another model ).
Although with Chainswords it's always the question how much on the blade, do I need something on the mini... I often tend to ignore sprayage (is that even a word?), because like OSL it can be hard to pull off.

He looks ace, I think the whole package works. Although, more skulls!

Lots of good stuff going on here. I dig the Raptors and their plasma effects, along with the Chaos Lord with jump pack. Dual chain swords certainly has a nice, brutal marauder type feel to it.

I appreciate the pink Tau because I think they are sissies so the color definitely fits them!

@Riddle Thanks, I do feel the same way about the tau thats why I did them in pink. Sitting back and shooting all day pfft, what fun is that!

Here is a few more cultists I did up. One flamer is for the BL the other 2 are going to be added to my chaos army. I figured they can fill in with my Death Guard or the few Emperors children I have painted.

Now I feel bad, because my 5- and nearly 3-year-old see my minis all the time with their bloody weapons But so far no questions arose to what this is on their swords and what they are doing to get them so dirty

Choppy Jumpy Lordy came out great! The new cultists too, always room for more cultists especially with that much dakka!
