It's plastic, but that shiny gak..not sure if regular plastic glue will hold it. It should take paint well though, with a good primer coat methinks.

I superdetailed it too, all the grab irons and such are made of wire. I plan on airbrushing the camo pattern on, then giving it a proper weathering, gloss coats, oil paints, the whole nine yards..

I got to bed and drop 2 pages behind? Ha.
I really like your idea of putting the Dakka modeling community together. Someone makes masters, someone makes molds, someone casts, etc. I've made a couple molds of things but they didn't come out well enough to share here. I may give it another go, but for now I'd rather tip my hat to those who are far ahead of me and support their efforts instead.
All I have to do now is get myself together enough where I'll actually be responsible and mail stuff to people (dstein, RSJake, Galorn, Briancj, Hyenajoe... and probably someone else). I have really sucked as a Dakka bud, time to step up and show I'm worthy of trust.

Dood, you've GOT to show the failures too, no one is going to make fun of you..but they can give you the advice you need, help you along.
I have slacked on shipping stuff too, mostly because going to my local little outsourced post office is always painful. However, No one paid me for any of it, it's all Karma stuff, so I guess it is excused

Right now I have a -6 to all of my Karma rolls.
And you know, never thought of showing the failure to improve. Have been showing "best effort" instead. Have learned a lot, but I have far to go. I'll take a pic of my failed bulkhead and post on my Terrain Project tonight after I get home. Picking up the 6th Ed rulebook tonight from my FLGS! No more modeling (or sleep) for a couple days. Muuaahaha!

Not sure, but the physical book is at my FLGS and the confirmed I can pick it up tonight after work. They are likely massively violating some GW policy, but whatever... GW is barely hanging on at my FLGS because of Failcast and the GW "have to buy everything at once" policy on ordering the new paint range. They still carry the old stock and buy new plastics, not so much new resin and no new paints.

hmm.. My FLGS got all the new paints (which is why I got them ) -but they haven't recieved any new kits at all. I may have to drive over to the full-retail FLGS to get my book. Last saturday they were having a huge apoc game when I went in, I suppose they will be doing something celebratory tomorrow.

It only gets that hot here a couple times a year, if that. One time last summer I went riding when it was really hot, I thought the wind would make up for it, but instead it was like having a hair dryer blown in my face. Ugh.
