The one thing I like about the "cover" is the landing craft in the backround and just the waves of impG comming off of it. It truly give a feeling for how massive the impG armies have to be.

He stated a week or two ago that he's decided to cut back on his posting because almost invariably it becomes a H.B.M.C. vs ShumaGorath slugfest.

You know, I thought the washed-out cover looked bad, but tolerable, until I saw it next to the one with fuller colors. The richer color version looks much better, and now the washed-out version will always be even more inferior in my mind knowing that a simple change could make it a far superior product.

Agreed.

Like most people I'm underwhelmed by this cover, but so excited by the new IG codex that it doesn't really matter anyways.

I like it myself, very much a Guard cover, plus it is finally nice to see some of these lander things as mentioned in at least one or two Guard novels.

Argh. I was really expecting to see something drastically different with the revised subject of "Duelling IG Covers"...man, news is really slow right now.
