Anuvver fing - when they do sumfing, they try to make it look like somfink else to confuse everybody. When one of them wants to lord it over the uvvers, 'e says "I'm very speshul so'z you gotta worship me", or "I know summink wot you lot don't know, so yer better lissen good". Da funny fing is, arf of 'em believe it and da over arf don't, so 'e 'as to hit 'em all anyway or run fer it.
I think it was H.B.M.C., Dakka's own personal Clint Eastwood, who said something along the line of "the ingore button is for people who can't deal with their problems."

You need to get your head up close to see it. It's a little nubbin about the size of a pea, usually hidden - just concentrate in the general area, and it should pop up...

Or people can learn to follow the rules , then there are no need force other to attempt to ignore each other.
For example , it takes one person to stop posting stupid things . But it takes thousands of people to put that one person on ignore ( number varies )
