The ones I normally find are the shipping monsters, they will post a item for about 25-45% retail, state that in the advert, and then it will be 75$ shipping when a flat rate box will hold it.

I was on Amazon last night and was looking at paint and typed in citadel paint. My God some of these sellers are right pirates! An individual pot of paint is valued at £4.86 and get this; FREE POSTAGE! Now is that a great deal or what!

The idea behind that is eBay takes a cut from the selling price, but not from the shipping price.

You are quite wrong about this. I sell stuff all the time and I assure you that feeBay takes 9% of the sale price AND shipping paid.

They never used to take a percentage of the postage....

Even with a good paint job, not even close. Wow...it's worth $30 brand new, GW price. Maybe $60-$70 expertly painted. That price? No way

Lol "trolltrader" has a shop not far from me sells oop figs for silly prices last time he had the old lead death company marines ( the original ones with the plastic arms) covered in paint without backpack or arms for £8 each and a old eddy space marine dread with only one arm for £40 strangely i didn't buy anything

Ah, makes sense, i have been looking at his shop on ebay and its expensive to say the least, i have seen those metal dreadnoughts go for fifty pounds plus tho, unpainted, make me want to put my metal chaos one on everytime i think of it !

I buy and sell ball cards on eBay, some of the folks "get it", most don't.

I'd honestly be careful if you've ever brought/plan to buy anything from the TrollTrader.

A few years ago i brought various Necromunda models from him which included a group of 5 Necromunda ratskin braves, when they arrived i admired them for a few days then promptly put them away with the rest of my ratskins.

A few months later when the urge to gaze upon them kicked in i noticed i had 2 copies of one of the braves, an original that i purchased from GW and the model that i purchased from trolltrader. After browsing the two i noticed that the one from trolltrader was a fairly obvious recast, it was made from an easily bent metal and it was noticeably thinner than the original GW model.

Unfortunately i had already left him feedback so couldn't take any action, so be warned that anything ever purchased from the Trolltrader could potentially be a recast.

Cheers for the info, as it happens i have noticed that he has bought some stuff from my brother and then is reselling it for twice the price, every item he has had from him is still up for sale in his list though, so his strat is not working so well.

This has been relisted several times over a couple months now...$45 for a $22 set. Seller calls 'em "pro" painted, but they look like they were primed and poorly inked. Not worth a 100% markup.

Nope, but all it takes is one desperate fool to keep the price high. Another 'favourite' of mine is MarkfieldMinatures (sic). You'll recognise the name if you trawl ebay for Epic models. He's the one that lists a single Epic knight for (I kid you not) £19:99, IG moles for £39:99 each, FW Epic buildings for near £100. He even managed to collar some Warmonger Titan parts a few years ago. They're still sat at buy it now for extreme prices. He even runs multiple accounts for some reason that I can't quite figure.
