I accidently angered a giant whilst firing around 9000 firebolts at a dragon flying over me (I missed with all, dragon laughed and left).

It took a long time of walking backwards with Frostbite spraying at it to end it.

Ha. Early levels sucked, but now my mage wields godlike power. There's a flash of light, a crack of thunder that could split stone, and then a troll's corpse flies three hundred feet.

There are some who walk until their legs fail them and they fall to the ground. I find that respectable.
Then there are those who drag themselves further. I find that admirable.

Trolls for me aren't a big deal. I ran into an ice troll on my way up the 10 billion steps to the graybeard house. He was way up on a rock, so I shot him with a sneaky arrow to get him to come down, then when he forgot about me, I snuck up with my dagger and 2 quick swings took him down before he knew what hit him.

I was doing a quest where some hag in the woods wanted to marry me and had a wedding ring I had to get back, and a dragon jumped us.. started hitting it and it took off and landed on top of 2 giants and 2 mammoths, who promptly killed it for me, and I snuck up behind them and got a free dragon soul for their trouble. I went back to the hag and she was glitched, and wouldn't finish talking to me for the quest, so I killed her and took her wedding ring, quest done.

The troll of the umpteen steps was annoying as hell for me, it just wouldn't die. It took me and a passer by to kill it, and the passer by died. My arrows seemed to just bounce off it.

Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.

Not understanding the complaints about dual wielding. At the start it's slow yes, but once yet get some perks in (mainly the stamina reducers and +% speed), you can just combo power chop stuff to death. Coupled with whirlwind sprint I can take anything down before it can even shoot at me.

2h nord with heavy armour with restoration (always seem to never have health pots on me).. the feeling of 25% chance of decapitation is amazing. Only issue i've had is gone from whirlwind sprint and the upgraded shout which throws people into ragdolls 10m up in the air. Sprint power critical attacks work wonders as well

... you can play this game on the sofa with a wireless controller if you really want, and hooking up a computer to a TV isn't hard.

In fact, the PC controllers are probably better with more customizable buttons.

Well I kind of moved near Toronto, actually.

The "Oblivion games" are OK on the console but if you are a pro you play on the PC. Like a pro.

This. Achievements are supposed to be a surprising reward and an afterthought when it comes to a game, not something to take away from the gaming experience for a number that means nothing.

I play on Xbox though because I can't browse Dakka while playing Skyrim on my Computer. well I can, but it's harder.

Fixed

And for me, Achievements are a fun way to get all of my moneys worth out of a game.

And the point is, mods don't add enough for me since I don't stick to one game anymore like the good old days and can't be bothered to come back later.

Why do you want to browse Dakka while you play? XD
I also multitask a lot, but when I play a game, I really play the game...
But if you really want to, steam overlay is the way to go

I'm watching tv(2 tv's next to each other ftw), listening to music, browsing dakka, playing an MMORPG and skyrim at the same time.

Multitask much?

Trolls: They regen to fast so I can't kite them, and I don't have enough health to stand and hack away at them.

Giants: I'm fairly certain they will one shot you always, I only killed one but with massive kiting using the Redguard's Adrenalin, and the Ice Freeze Thu'um.

At higher levels you can butcher trolls easily.

Same with giants...unless they come with mammoths.

At lower levels giants can one shot you, and ice trolls will murder you.

Anyway, my first character was a duel war-axe wielding argonian clad in heavy armor.
And it was badass...but so SLOW!
Bloody mages kept nuking me at range...but then I got whirlwind sprint. Hilarity ensued.

That ice troll on the way to High Hrothgar the first time forced me to turn back. After going back up I drank a potion of true shot and poisoned a buch of arrows and shot it about eighty times until it finally died. WHile my friend, playing on his laptop at the same time, drank a potion of invisibility and snuck past. Why didn't I think of that?
