Hmm.. probably a stealthy Mage, I have a Drow character I like to roll out in RPG's whenever I get the chance, she was used in Oblivion, seems she'll be heading up to Skyrim.

Thats what I enjoy most in life as well, stalking my prey and waiting for the moment to let loose

Combat mage for me first off, got to love casting spells and also hitting things wit ha blunt weapon of some sort

Then a multitude of others will follow to vary the playing styles

Im probably gonna do an archer + melee guy, but with magic on the side.

I usually never can pick just one theme, but I often do one or two types a lot more than the third.

Depends on which is more fun

Stealthy marksman.....or a bare handed class......just running around punching people in the face like I did in Oblivion....but in Skyrim.....I'm going to punch a dragon right in it's smug little snout....

If level 50 is the cap, then I can perk up Shields, One Handed,
Armor and Smithing with little difficulty.

Would it be worth it to play this way?

It'd be plenty effective, I'm sure.

Might get boring later on, though.

Dunmer with magic in one hand and a sword in the other, wearing light armour, and probably a little bit of stealth.

Def worth it, since you can also bash with shields, shield charge etc. And you could most likely easily get more then 3 skills maxed out by then

So far, sneaky marksman has been a lot of fun. Having two axes to give people hell when they get too close is also a plus.....

One of my friends wants to dual wield shields, and shield bash everything to death.

I accidently made a Khajiit mage. It was supposed to be a marksman, but I suck majorly and lose all my arrows. I was going to make a mage character soon anyway, and it turns out I quite like my Khajiit, so I kept it as thus, even if it's not ideal.

Combat mage, always. It's that megics is pretty much necessary in these games, but I'm more of a blunt force trauma sort of gal. I also prefer guns to swords and magic any day, but oblivion and skyrim are just too awesome to pass up.

Character creation wasn't as in-depth as I was expecting.

I found some black robes as loki and pulled a palpatine anyway

As a general rule I am done sneaking/ dicking around when I play these games.

It's not a Sunday afternoon without CRPG commentary from malf.

So anyway I am going Nord-something (WHICH I ALWAYS DO, NOOBS) and I don't know I will have to see what is possible with the building system which is supposed to be turned up a notch for this one. Basically I have to see what is fun, my previous characters have generally been archery characters, which was "for a change".

The spells look pretty. So after watching that video I might make an "espionage" character for this one, like an actual RP Spy not sure how or what that is going to help me with dungeons and what-have-you.

Sneaking is good for dungeons...
From what i have seen (bandits especially) if you sneak about you can get some very easy kills.

Mhm, I've only had problems with Giants really.

Dual wielding an axe and a mace while playing in your face style seems to work (and having twice as much stamina as I do health). Whirlwind sprint up to them, hold both triggers for a 4 hit power attack, enjoy. The +50% dual wield power attack damage perk helps :3 And having upgraded and enchanted glass weapons.

Also, feth blood dragons, they always show up when im out of healing potions.
