Attach a Lord Commissar with a power fist. Pricey, but it will make them better and harder to run down.

When I played 'nids, zoanthropes. EVERY TIME.

I think with the 20+ games I played with them, they never worked once.

Either the spore would deep strike too far away to be useful, or they'd fail their psychic test, or they wouldn't hit, or they wouldn't pen.

Fething annoying...

With the crons I havent had much bad luck. Imotekh WITHOUT a res orb lord came back 3 times in one game

Anything resembling a Predator. Never kill ANYTHING, and there have been a few games where my friend's stealthsuits have arrived from reserves right next to it, and simply stunned it with their burst cannons for the ENTIRE FETHING GAME.

My Autocannon/Lascannon predator, specifically the 2 lascannons. They rarely hit, and when they do hit they rarely wound. The autocannon on the other hand is great. Always does damage. Too bad it doesn't ID T4 models

For me, it's pretty much anything with a single dice being rolled at a time.

So meltaguns, multi-meltas, lascannons, plasma pistols, and krak missiles.

I will admit that they do MUCH better if they're firing with their squad, assuming they have one. But if they're firing alone, they're gonna miss, and if they don't miss by some miracle, they're not gonna wound.

It's gotten to the point where with my Sisters of Battle, when I'm firing the squad's meltagun at a tank or building or what have you, I'll roll the squad's bolters too even if I know they can't do anything at all.

My first game with my Exorcist, it had a good opening volley, it got off six missiles on turn one and blew up a Vindicator - which is really dangerous, because my Sisters mostly footslog. After that, it was basically 1s every turn, with maybe a 2 or two. In its second game, which has yet to be completed, it's gotten a 6, then a 5 thus far, so it's doing better.

Which reminds me, I haven't used any Faith Points yet in my current game... I forgot all about it. My faith points and Act of Faith rolls suffer from the issue of the single-dice failure as badly as my meltaguns and weapons do.

I usually run squads of marines with dual melta guns, IIRC my hit percentage is a little under 50% with BS 4 marines...not to mention how often i roll the old snake eyes for pen against a rhino with melta guns...

Victory is not the most important outcome. Enjoyment and excitement is the best outcome, victory is sweeter when it was fun.

For me its Zagstruk, when I first started playing Ork I was thinking this dude is going to be awesome!!! Deepstrike and attack from the back!!!!

For me all he has done is deepstrike himself and 15 stormboyz off the table. Even if I try to deepstrike him into safety he always gets a 10+ and scatters to his death..

reaver jetbikes. they always tend to do nothing, then get shot to pieces and die, or run off the table. as such i dont use them anymore unless im trying to "dumb down" a list for play aginst a newer player.

My big mek with SAG. Oh my days is he useless. I know the SAG is designed to be wacky and fail on the ocassion so it is to be expected... but he always manages to do the most ridiculous things.

Try this: Rhino filled to the brim with zerkers. I know blow up the rhino. Oh dear you teleported yourself infront of the rhino. Hello mr bezerker, please be gentle. splat.

Or on a later battle: Stupid jac thinks, ill stick him next to a unit of lootas and have a fun old dakka-fest up on a hill away from the action. Oooh lets shoots some humies over there. Oh poo you have malfunctioned your weapon and poned half the lootas and yourself , never mind.

To be fair my Big Mek's failings are often due to my own tactical failings but hes still a bit of comic relief in the army. And i spent so long painting him il be damned if i wont field him!

Hmm?

If your BS is really high, you often get a second roll. For instance, if you're BS6 you hit on 2's, but if you miss you roll again and can hit on 6's. If you're BS8 that second roll would be hitting on 4's. At least that's the rule I'm assuming he's talking about.

Yeah but I'm pretty sure Vindicators aren't BS8. I hope not, anyway.

I'd like to retract my previous statement about models that always fail.

My Exorcist was stellar in my last game. Always rolled 5s or 6s for missiles. It obliterated most of a Command Squad that had just butchered two units of Battle Sisters, blew up a dreadnought - the resulting explosion killed a couple of Marines as well - killed off most of a Sternguard unit, and wrecked a building some pesky Scouts were hiding in, all while sitting in place thanks to being immobilized from that Dreadnought's assault cannon. Its song was finally extinguished when a Captain got in its rear armor with a plasma pistol and got off a good shot on the fifth turn.

Also, I always rolled a 3 or higher for faith points, which I barely even used, except for my Retributors, though I believe I also used one for my Repentia when they charged a tactical squad at one point. Heh, my first two turns, I completely forgot about faith points.

I'm assuming you mean Vindicare assassin, not Vindicator siege tanks? I think the assassins are, the tanks are BS3 or 4 depending on if they're a Chaos one with possession or not.

my marbo tends to always whiff his demo charge, then get sshot to death by 10 tac marines

i wish my lasguns would hit/wound more often, firing 200+ each turn then getting 2 wounds and both of them saved just seems like a slap in the face

3k+ IG

Chimeras > rhinos (course then again piling a regular squad out of a chimera usually creates a scene similar to Omaha beach during D-Day)
