Subject: What is your most HATED model to glue / paint ?
I helped a friend assemble his. . . never again. It is bloody near impossible to get the legs so that they all support the body.
Nah, this one is easy, you just have to know the trick: Put a small box under the body (height appropriate to what you want for your defiler), position the legs, and glue. No big deal. I like to leave one arm mobile, along with its claws, so I can hold the first enemy model that it kills over head. Most of my opponents enjoy this
FFS. I wish I had heard of that before I had made my Defiler conversions. I would totally have one arm for holding dudes!
Sentinels for gluing, I've long since figured out how to make them stand up correctly (gotta prop them up on something), but if they fall off it all goes to pieces.
Painting I'd say infantry. The super small details are a pain... multiplied over ALOT of dudes (IG, Skitarii, Mechanicus) it gets beyond tedious...
Regiment: 91st Schrott Experimental Regiment
Regiment Planet: Schrott Specialization: Salvaged, Heavily Modified, and/or Experimental Mechanized Units. "SIR! Are you sure this will work!?"
"I HAVE NO IDEA, PULL THE TRIGGER!!!" 91st comms chatter.

Oh hell, do not remind me about Sentinels. I love the model when it is finished.... Building it though, is a major chore.

- The Necron AB/CCB is unbelievably annoying to build imo.
- Slaanesh plastic Daemonettes are a pain in the arse, those arms . . .
- Maybe 2 out of the 5 or 6 Necron foot positioning on the old bases were almost only touching it with their heels - like just lol @ the sculptors trolling us with their sumo stances.
- In Fantasy, Beastmen Bestigor, when equipped with two-handed weapons, need some special attention so the pieces all line up properly.
- I've built a lot of Forge World in my day, and I can say with absolute certainty that the Forge World Slaanesh Keeper of Secrets is unbelievably tedious. Consider this image:
Every spike on the leg needs to be attached, which means you need tweezers to cleanly apply each one - we are talking like 50+ spikes all over her body, including some blades on her wrists. On top of that, do you see how her head tentacles are curved? Well FW casts them as STRAIGHT PIECES, so you have to heat them and bend them so they are manageable and presentable. It is ridiculous, you need to put an unusual amount of effort and use special techniques to build this chica properly.

That got a laugh out of me, but it really shouldn't have.
I don't think anyone's mentioned Land Speeders yet. I really hated those.
Land Speeders have been mentionned once. I recall I had some difficulties to glue my Speeders, but I don't think they deserve to be the most hated model to glue^^

Wow, that's insane !

The Land Speeder is just a super crap kit which doesn't fit together...nothing hard about assembling it...but making it not look like a turd? It's just a bad kit.

Sgt. Vanden - OOC Hey, that was your doing. I didn't choose to fly in the "Dongerprise'.

FudgeDumper - It could be that you are just so uncomfortable with the idea of your chapters primarch having his way with a docile tyranid spore cyst, that you must deny they have any feelings at all.

I have a partially completed land speeder on my desk currently (need to paint up the shoulders and head for the crew) and it didn't strike me as being very difficult to make.
For me the top 3 most annoying to build was
1. Drop Pod - I think most of us know why.
2. Hammerhead Tank - for some reason that zogging thing just didn't like lining up and it happened with both tanks I built.
3. Ork Weirdboy - Seriously I hate finecast and the amount of times I had to rebuild his staff because it broke is too darn high. So much flash, had to heat + bend the parts to straighten them out, and

I have to add a vote for the Fire Raptor, after six hours of fiddling, cutting, gluing etc. it got moved to a box and never looked at again.
Second least favourite would have to be the TGG2 huntress model, with the thick as mold release, the horrible fragile parts, the stupid vent placement and the horrible mould lines in every recess they could find. That model went out of the window before I really lost my cool with it. Still it now makes a decent Ordo Hereticus With hunter with Condemnator.
On parle toujours mal quand on n'a rien à dire.

It could also be fifteen years old, from an age before quality.
I'd like to add the Harlequin troupe (how the ass are you supposed to line up the arms?) to my previous answer.
I'm used to speedbuilding miniatues and getting right into the converting but knights have so many little fiddly bits to put in as well so they get really tedious.
The most hated of all time is a 1:200 model of HMS Nelson I'm currently working on. I bought the detail-up kit for it from an independent retailer and while the degree of detail is absolutely staggering, so is the amount of effort going into it. For example, building one of the 20mm AA guns requires bending and shaping around 15 brass parts into precise shapes and glueing them all together to form something no larger than a Laspistol. Seems ok until you realise you have 62 of the bloody things to make!
