I gave the doom grot legs now he's run off!!!

So I got on with the defiler job.

The choas missile launchers mount is perfect to hold my mega cannon.

I'm gona make a bigger saw, as this ork one is way too small

or I try to make it into a chain fist, just need to make loads of teeth.

The feet are the next main job.

Could do with some advice on da feet!!!!!

That's still looking good Tipios! I like the concept of the buzz saw arm, but a huge chainfist would be sweet!

The Defiler toes can be used for the feet. The saw from the Deff Dread kit is a pretty nice bit. It's a bit bigger than the one you have. Thanks for linking my thread buddy.

What about using the Defiler's original "Gorilla claws" as feet? Put the "fingers" on backwards and presto, instant feet

On a related note, that's a seriously awesome model you're working on there! Not quite sold on the position of the Manticore head yet, but apart from that it's brilliant already!

This is look I'm going for. After Hyenajoe suggested turning the termie legs into stilts.

I need to make steps for his tiny feet to go on, and also make some feet to go on the end of the robot legs.

Liking so far. For feet, you could use Dreadknight feet.

Also, the cannon arm needs more bulk. It looks a bit flimsy at present.

Have you thought about using sentinel feet? Or would they be too big?

@squig - I will look at the dreadknight feet. More work for the arm, pipes and pistons I think

@rsjake - I've got a broken sentinal foot with no toes, it is a little big but I think that will add to the fun

Going for the chain fist on the Defilier.

And this is how I'm doing it.

Using what I think is a Stompa saw thing.

Just cut out half the teeth.

And

we have a chainsaw looking piece, just need another one to complet it.

Oh and I really want to finish of the IW dread. Just some Hazzard stripes on the legs, and gold trims to do. Ohh and OSL plasma gun and eyes/

Im changing thecannon arm on the defiler.
I think I'm gona go with this arm instead. It would make him more balanced.

I might change the head too, for a mechanical one! What do you chaps think?

Liking the new cannon arm and as much as I hate to say it I think a mechanical head would suit this better.

Definately prefer the new arm. And a mechanical head would be much better. How about a Juggernaut head, or the horned Defiler head?

where did you get the skull helm for your dread?

@matt - ha, Yeah just got back, and though a nice way to get the juices flowing again, would be your competition. I don't know how I missed it, as it started last year

@squigs - I'm looking at he jugger head, that may be too small, we shall see

@zeke - thanks, the IW dread head, is a chaos shoulder pad cut down.

Hmm, you know, the problem might not be with the Manticore head per se but rather with its position: You yould try placing it a little higher for starters. Personally speaking, I would try a mechanical one as well as the Manticore one with a changed position and then decide what works best.

The idea was that he was trying to escape the defilier with chains on him to hold him in. Now the arms are on it dosn't seem to work, will try higher position
