Nice work, Gir. I like the... what is that burned? melted? corrupted?... leg and face on the first one and the bionics on the third one. Very cool!

Hey man, just had a read through - great stuff! Also, exorcists are corking, and chapterhouse do good pads for them. I did an exorcist army for my nephew for birthday/xmas, with some stuff from Miss Dee thrown in - good times. Also, nice bases

Looks good, but I have to say this guy:

...has got to be THE most unmotivated Space Marine I've ever seen. Like he wanted to be part of the Assault team and got reclassified as a Heavy. I can almost hear him saying him saying "Stupid Multimelta... I hate my job."

Not sure what would make him more dynamic. Maybe a reposition of the left arm? Yeah, I know... great time to offer that opinion (after it's painted).

lol Skalk I totally agree with you I noticed it before undercoating but due to all the parts only fitting where they are now there's nothing really left I could have done. I did try to take the body off but its very well stuck in place, that's the culprit part as it took away a lot of movement.

So we are left with Mr I hate my job and riding in a drop pod to work man lol

Thanks Graven

I've got some Exorcist pads in the works should have them in about a month, I think they look much better than the CH ones, I'll show them off when they arrive.

Cheers Sel I think he's going to be the odd one out of the army

---------------------------

I also painted a Pegasus over the weekend which you can find in this thread for those that might be interested.

I might as well do some rambling while I'm here.

I'm currently reading through the new 6th edition rules and they are giving me loads of ideas for the forces of chaos.

I've put in a order for Typhus as hes well hard under the new rules being that he has an AP2 weapon and psychic powers, plus more

I'm also going to be looking at doing a chaos bastion for my Thousand Sons a proper flying tower of Tzeentch in a few months time.

Allies is my main interest as there are so many possibilities and of course I want to individualise them into my armies. I'm currently looking at adding Necron allies into my World Eaters so they look like they have just come out of the ice all cold and frosty with a khorne twist, all ideas welcome as I'm still in the planning stage at the moment.

This is what I'm thinking at the moment for a 1500 tournament in September

Daemon Prince
Mark of khorne
Wings
120

Chaos Dreadnought
Close combat arm
100

Khorne Berserkers 8 man squad
Skull Champion
Powerfist
Rhino
Dozer Blade
248

Khorne Berserkers 8 man squad
Skull Champion
Powerfist
Rhino
Dozer Blade
248

Chaos Defiler
Twin-linked Lascannon
170

Imotekh The Stromlord
225

Necron Warriors 10 man squad
130

Doom Scythe
175

Total 1436

Using Imotekh's night rules all my guys will run up under cover of darkness to give the enemy a good pounding with the Necrons glancing tanks to death. korn flakes and a flying croissant for breakfast anyone?

---------------------

Daemon alies have tons of potentail as well as their daemons can actually have fly and Epidemius is mad with Plague Marines. I'm also going to look into Skulltaker but I need to read his rules again

With the chaos codex just round the corner as well or so its said this thread will be busy for a long time. I plan to flesh out each of my sub armies to full 2500 point forces World Eaters, Thousand Sons, Emperors Children and Death Guard and whatever else pops up.

Also my Dark Wolves using the Space Wolves codex might ally with Night Lords using the Blood Angel codex

Here you go YB

Where the red circle is there is a hole in the side where it attaches to the pintle mount, I put a random cut off from something in there.

---------------------------

Some new WIP's for you today, these all need GS work.

I've done some more work on the Obliterator

I also decided to model a Khorne Lord, I don't need him yet but have had the idea for ages.

And not forgetting Typhus who has suddenly become rather good with 6th edition.

If you want to know what the model is next to him check out my imperium blog in 5 mins

I have next week off so there should be lots more painting than usual.

Oh wow, I love the subtle colour blends on the Chooser of the Slain and the Wolfy, and your marines are looking great!

Not enough people work with grey, it's a great colour, surprisingly versatile and fun to paint.

Cheers the oblits had his GS work done, I didnt snap any pics of him before undercoating but he's next up for painting.

I painted the last Long Fang today, thats 2500 points painted in about 4 months. I really need a brea from painting Grey now

I've also found a use for the first model I bought when I decided to get back into the hobby back in March 2011, wow times whizzed past.

Here's my counts as Epidemius, I think he's much better than the standard GW mini.

I might try and get a group shot of my Skyrar's Dark Wolves army over the next few days weather permitting.

I was planning on doing the scheme from the FW books with the gold patterns under the red, I've not got round to experimenting to try and mimic the effect yet.

Also just made some new army profiles for my Death Guard and Skyrar's Dark Wolves, links in my sig.

I should have an obliterator ready to show you tomorrow.

Its the FW Kazyk The Befouled on Rot Beast model.

I'm having issues with the resin at the moment as my undercoating isn't sticking to it very well, I did wash it in soapy water but its not helped. If I sprayed it that would resolve the issue but I only have paint on Vallejo white undercoat and it doesn't get on with FW resin.

I have started painting it anyway so will post some WIP pics in the next few days.

Do you have matt or gloss spray? you could do a coat of that first.
